Bit by bit it's coming together for Spurs under Ange. They improved last season compared to the one before, and I think they'll improve further again this season. Their squad depth has improved and it's now packed with young, talented players who will only get better. They spend so much but never ever seek to spend right. If youre going to spend you may as well go for the best or near to best, theyve spent so much on strikers who've never amounted to anything, wingers who dont amount to anything, why they arent pulling out all stops to get a top 5 player in a few positions is beyond understanding. The spending, direction and scouting is depressingly bad, getting too cute and creative with no results. Funny thing is its not that hard. Get a proven winning manager, spend in most positions a top 3 or 5 player, trim the fat which is alot in this case. And give it 2-3 years for results to start happening and an actual style to develop.

I have been supporting United since I was eight years old, through thick and thin. When I should be looking forward to achieving my half century next year, I am instead filled with bewilderment rather than excitement. Through the ‘70’s and ‘80’s, aside from some Cup success and despite of having some truly amazing players, the league title was a distant dream. ( The Theatre of Dreams ) However, the teams always had an ultra attacking identity and fought for every match and manager. Yesterday and far too many times recently, this collection of talented footballers, haven’t performed as a ‘team’ and seem totally uninterested in the ‘philosophy’ of Ten Hag. Though I didn’t agree with releasing Steve McLaren, I was optimistic that Ruud van Nistelrooy joining as a coach, he would hopefully bring about an improved attacking unit. Three home games - 1 goal scored, 6 goals conceded! Enough said! I have consistently backed Ten Hag but you have to finally concede that he doesn’t have the man management or the skill set to motivate these players. Although not privy to the back room conversations of the dressing room, the disruptions caused openly of Ronaldo, Sancho, Rashford etc shows there is something fundamentally wrong behind the scenes. So Ten Hag’s time at this great club is now surely over and please find a replacement manager/coach who plays attacking and expansive football please.

Our system is obvious. We play a 424 so once our press is passed through we are overrun in midfield and the opposition is in on goal more often then not. Also we don’t believe in playing in a block so our forwards press high and our defenders stay low so it’s nice and easy for the opponents to run straight through us

Honestly I'm so frustrated with some of the "analysis" that goes in with United. Can no-one point out that both Rashford and Garnacho are incapable of going past a defender? They both lose the ball constantly and are a big reason why we can't control games. I'm reading post match comments like "Garnacho ran his socks off" and just think this is why we are where we are. These types of narrative dominates instead of analysts just point out they simply aren't good enough on the ball.

Van Dijk, Akanji, Van De Ven, Colwill, Gabriel With the exception of maybe one or two players (Sarr, Colwill). Barley any of these Man UTD players bench any of The Top 6 Players. Especially if we're going of current form. I can't remember the last time Rashford and Fernades had a consistently good performance across a few games especially against the top half of the table
Gordon's penalty was 100% nailed on a penalty - Ederson scooped his foot, so there's no dispute. Should also have been a penalty for Walker's foul on Joelinton as he took him out without getting anywhere near the ball. Re. Rodri ... Why do we give Man United so many excuses? It's been 2/3 years they have not been good and never been consistent, they buy more players they stay the same. This is poor. Let's jump on the United bandwagon for views. United went 1-0 down, they were dominated for about half an hour. They then started to come back into the game, were the better side from 30-40 mins and probably would have been going into half time. Then the ref changes the game with their incompetence. So United's job is twice as hard. They go in at half time, came out with fire in their bellies and got suckered by an early goal (deflating to the best of players). They then proceeded to concede 1 more goal despite being the better team for the last half an hour. Crazy to make it out like any of this is on ETH or United.

Not one Man United player gets into Man City, Liverpool or Arsenals starting 11 and tbh the only player/players that would make their benches are De Ligt and Mainoo. Yeah he slipped, but he lunged his foot at Madders and made high contact. That’s a red regardless of a slip. He slipped and should have just fallen to the pitch. If he made contact in that scenario, it would’ve been a yellow at most. He knew what he was doing. He lunged high to try and stop Madders, so it is a red and the “captain” let his club down. It’s a simple rule, and he broke that rule.
Ange is being let down by a complete lack of spending power at Tottenham. You go through their squad and they have a lot of really average players which sounds crazy on the back of beating Utd at their ground 3-0, a team that has been assembled for 4 to 5 times what Tottenham have spent net. Imagine what he could do with Man Utd's spending power?! Yet many probably think he isn't good enough for Utd, a Utd that have employed managers like OGS and ETH. Madness.
To me it's obvious... the reign of Fergie, although bringing success, created (as time went by) a dour and arrogant attitude to the club. This has brought in a perpetuating attitude which is sadly delusional, that they believe they will always be a big and successful club, this time they are doing it without working on the ethos of the club. They've been found out. Under Fergie it was controlled, but clearly there wasn't enough done to allow for continuity. People speak of identity and style, but where is the character? It's football... it's about passion, desire, strength of character, and a tremendous work ethic... where has this gone? United have been used to success and used to deep pockets (despite moaning about their owners who have provide more than 1.3 billion in funds to buy players and managers) to run the club... but without the genius of Fergie and 10 years of nothingness, they are only left with the negative aspects of the Fergie reign, and the players reflect this... just look at the players purchased... their character is weak and isn't being developed, just look at players like Antony, Garnacho, Fernandes, their attitude is appalling, they have arrogance without delivering, and this goes on and one on: but who is hiring these types of players? This reflects the nature of the club... these are hard workers or men of character. All this deeply effects the good players like Rashford who's career has more or less been wasted at this club, he could have gone on to great heights, I fear for Mainoo - he needs a better club, a better environment, one which isn't bitter and negative and resting on its history. It's a proper mess.
I just don't get crazy obsession about English young players. Mainoo does what exactly to get in any top side atm? He has one moment in him during the whole 90 mins of play. Yes may be give him the benefit of doubt and say the rest of the team is rubbish. Put him in a spurs team and let's see if he is able to produce consistently. By that I mean literally like how the actual good players have done. Until then just don't say that he is good.
Why is it that Manure keep appointing managers who clearly don’t know what they are doing? The experts on tv keep telling them what’s wrong but they take no notice. I also note that the manure supporters know what the problem is but again the owners don’t appoint a supporter panel to advise on the purchases or selection or tactics. Are the owners deaf ?
They've only ever had 2 good managers, one who stayed for 27 years and skewed the stats, but this is their natural level. They have a few big name players, they underachieve in the league and they can put a cup run together.

It's reckless and dangerous with no chance of getting the football - it's irrelevant that he didn't mean to. Very few players (apart from Roy Keane) go in with a deliberate intent to harm - most reds come from being reckless - which Fernandes definitely was. The only reason it's being discussed is because Maddison wasn't badly injured.
There’s some things Ten Hag has got right, but a lot he’s got awfully wrong. I really wanted him to succeed but you can’t survive playing THAT badly and making the same mistakes over and over again. If we had some form of identity we’d back him but I honestly cannot tell you what sort of team they are
I think Jim Ratcliffe has totally undermined ETH this summer with his very public redefinition of his role as manager. Although professional football is a business, it is a unique business with a unique public face. As much as the changes behind the scene needed to be made, Radcliffe’s actions betray a lack of knowledge and empathy in a business that he has no idea about. Unfortunately, this has created a situation that ETH cannot survive. Make the change now, put ETH out of his clear misery and show your business acumen and move swiftly to move forward or potentially end up as a team of mid-table mediocrity for the next twenty years.
