What other things to do in case the child wont take any of the options and will keep playing the ball inside inspite of being told many times?

You can have a consequence. If you continue to play with the ball indoors then I will have to put the ball away.

You're very welcome! 😊 I'm glad you enjoyed the video. The story of how children in the Casa (Montessori preschool) environment start reading books is a fascinating journey that highlights the Montessori approach to language development. In the Montessori Casa environment, the process of learning to read is gradual and individualized, and it often unfolds something like this: Phonemic Awareness: Initially, children are introduced to the sounds of letters through various Montessori materials like the Sandpaper Letters and the Moveable Alphabet. They learn to associate each letter with its corresponding sound. Phonetic Reading: After mastering letter sounds, children progress to blending these sounds together to form simple words. Montessori materials like the Pink Series and Blue Series provide a structured approach to phonetic reading. Word Building: Children create words using letter cards and eventually move on to forming short phrases and sentences. This hands-on approach allows them to understand the mechanics of language. Reading Comprehension: As children become more proficient in reading, they transition to reading simple books and stories with a focus on comprehension. They learn to understand and discuss the content of the text. Expanding Vocabulary: Montessori classrooms are rich in vocabulary development materials, and children are encouraged to explore new words and their meanings. Choice and Independence: Throughout this process, children are encouraged to choose their reading materials based on their interests, fostering a love for reading and exploration. The Montessori approach emphasizes that children learn at their own pace and that there's no rush to push them into reading before they are developmentally ready. It's a gradual and joyful journey where children discover the magic of language and reading on their own terms.
