d'angelo wallace reacting to shane dawson and jeffree star for ten minutes straight insta | twitter @dangelno: instagr.am/dangelno | / dangelno shane dawson manipulates his audience into spending millions
after i edited this video, i had a dream where my sleep paralysis demon had on a full face of shane's makeup and threatened to hit me over the head with a pig backpack. in all fairness, his lip gloss was POPPING
POPPING stop 😭😭😭 I need more takes like this!! Most people (I said most, not all!) blindingly go "Oh yay for Shane, he's so poor and now he's getting so much more money from the help of J*" 😬 So thanks for the video D'Angelo!
probably because since they sold out they get to see their boss not being stressed on them/know the company isn't failling and they can keep their jobs lmao
D'Angelo called Shane out long ago and picked up on his manipulative behaviour, look at the dislikes by Shane's blind worshippers. Now that drama channels have exposed him, people have finally come into their senses.
His fans also infantilize the hell out of Shane Dawson, acting like he doesn’t know what he’s doing and he like got into a bad crowd blah blah blah. He is a 30 year old man.
@@FortuitousOwl for sure, the behaviour in his past does not match up to the empathetic persona he puts on now. You don’t just become an empath. And that therapist who was saying that jake Paul was a sociopath or something 😭
If you're talking about the Coronavirus, that wasn't a thing at that point, if you're talking about people dying in general, I agree Shane is an awful person and am not defending him I honestly hate him and he shouldn't complain about being poor when he has millions but the whole "why are you complaining there's people dying and starving kids in Africa" thing is pretty shitty, just because there are people who have it worse doesn't mean you aren't allowed to feel bad or complain.
@@artyomgr8 i think they meant the "people are dying" when Kim Kardashian lost her diamond earrings while she was swimming in the ocean and crying about it while her sister said "Kim, there's people that are dying."
I remember commenting something similar on his videos before the documentaries, and people used to attack me or say things like "He grew up poor, probably still he behaves that because of trauma". It made no sense and literally bothered me so much. I stopped watching him after that
@Annoellia normally I would agree with you but hes a special kind of disgusting. Especially considering that at 4:12 he said the same exact thing about the animals he molested. He literally said "50 people died yesterday and everyones talking about a cat" he didnt even call it his cat either. But I completely agree with you on him being horrible.
"I'm so poor, I'm not even on the list of the most wealthy people on earth!" He choked out between sobs while dabbing his eyes with hundred dollar bills.
@@manialord1699 🐷🐽 FOH with your awful thing coming at me questioning whether or not I know what an animal is bish do you know what animal Shane is? A self-proclaimed pig how bout that. @@alexysobrien2977 To make people sympathetic. Like DeathnoteBB said, emotional manipulation. If Shane makes people feel sorry for him, they are more likely to buy his shit right?
Well, no, people have been calling both of them out for years prior to that. It's just that no one listens until someone with equivalent money and privilege says anything. (Also, framing stuff like that "roast" as a real callout is disingenuous since it specifically frames the grievances people have with a figure and the act of calling them out for their misdeeds as a joke that can easily be dismissed, hence why Shane gets to sit there with a shit eating grin laughing it up with a bunch of other rich people as it's happening and face no consequences for years after the fact.)
Anti-Mattering Im glad that Jon did it as a roast, since he probably would have gotten the Bobby Burns treatment from Shane had he actually went after him. I just wish people had anonymously compiled his shit earlier or someone on Shane’s level of influence said something.
IKR? I recently found Jon, so when I saw that clip I was so shocked to see his face that it distracted me and I had to go back to check that it was him and to hear what he said. DANG
@@moxiemaxie3543 so many people were fans of him and then realized they were wrong, be proud of this person because they’ve made progress and clearly realized how much of an awful person shane is.
Two multi millionaires hugging and crying while underpaid workers slave over desks while standing putting together a shitty make up palette awakens a new kind of depression in me.
Shane Madej is definitely a demon, but he’s also definitely a Good Omens-Crowley-type demon. He’s definitely the kind who came to earth to do evil, but is now just kind of bumbling around causing the most minor of inconveniences
@@ineedsleep4071 "Wait, the EMP is picking up something!" *points to Shane Dawson* "Oh it's just you. You're the one haunting this house." Shane M: *disappointed*
My biggest problem with shane is how he thinks he just "lives comfortably" how insanely unaware can you be of your own privileges and fortune, it doesn't make you seem humble, it makes you sound so incredibly ungrateful
Lucid Starlight he was dirt poor when he was a kid. So thats probably where his insecurities come from. Like he lived in poverty with his Mum and brother.
@@_letstartariot I honestly feel like that can't be used as an excuse anymore, plenty of people came from nothing and acknowledge their current fortune, plus he's been well off for years. Listen I don't get offended easily but when I heard him say "Hey I live comfortably but I'm not rich" while laying in his bedroom, in his LA mansion with his g wagon parked outside, all the designer clothes in his closest and a bunch of apple products laying around... well that one got me, but hey I'm just poor and bitter don't mind me
not to mention the fact that last year he made what. 6 videos? six fucking videos and then took a three month break like imagine being able to to do work for half the year and still be a millionaire. heinous.
I can't believe I came back to this comment just so say that D'Angelo said something almost similar to your comment in another, newer video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yvnhG0Fiwes.html
Right, because Jeffrey IS racist. He sees black people as lesser people and and that’s what he saw that person he called racial slurs to. Like saying they are beneath them that the only thing Jeffrey can call them is a slur that actually hurts a specific group of people because that’s what he sees them.
Berna Osmanova he was not crying bc he didn’t get enough money- I- he was literally crying bc he realized he got fucked over, it wasn’t a money issue it was a respect thing.
What's absolutely bonkers is that shane somehow convinced a LOT of ppl that his racism was "from a different time" but when filming his movie, so many ppl refused to work with him BECAUSE of his racism (and homophobia and general grossness). It was NOT. NORMAL. It took his past being dredged up at least 3 separate times before he actually felt the repercussions of the harm he caused. He also normalised child abuse jokes and racist jokes in front of an entire generation (for reference, he had over 2M subscribers in 2014 and his been at the top since 2012ish). Wild.
Don't forget the documented, on-camera incidents of him touching, kissing, or otherwise sexually harassing small children and animals. He's such an empath.
shane’s stans will attack anyone who has genuine criticism for him, i feel like many influencers are hesitant and almost scared to speak their honest opinions because of the power and fan base shane has. they’d rather turn the blind eye or tip toe around the actual issue. it’s kinda scary how much is swept under the rug and how much his fans enable him
i seriously dont understand what was sooo hard to edit?? how is it hard to follow soeone with a camrea? lmao andrew would touch the lense and move the camera all crazy to seem edgy but it was just nausiating.
Hiley Moon Following someone with a camera and editing are two different things. To follow someone with a camera, anyone can do I am sure. But to find the right music, make sure that all scenes are placed in chronological order in every single episode since they have probably over a thousand footage in the memory card alone, to edit in a way where people would understand what is going on by finding out which exact day was it film and typing out ‘10 days before dramageddon’ ‘56 days before launch’ etc etc, creating an intro, having different cliffhangers in every episode, making sure to filter out some things that are not meant to be shown, making sure to have all the screenshots of literally everything. Having to dig up receipts from twitter, saving instagram live videos from their phone, screen recording others stories, making sure to screenshot all websites being down on launch day (beautylish, morphe, jeffeestar), cutting footages from videos that were made by their fans during the launch when all fans try to buy the items but can’t and trying to fit it all together. Watching all drama channels and once again, taking parts of their footages to put in their video to make things make sense is all insane and to produce at least one video each week of 11 months worth of content? I don’t know.
Bro some of us have known for years. A lot of people just jump on the bandwagon. I grew up with his blackface vids and people loved it back then, now suddenly he's cancelled after he made millions
realfries plus, humor back then, it was like, really really LOW. like people back then could be racist and nothing would really happen to them. you have to understand, his videos were about, 10 years ago, in 2010, people weren’t being called out on racist bs, and thats because the generation before us didn’t stand up or care about it. Us Gen Z’s now, we literally call out bs when we see it.
@@softlosers4246 no uh uh. i'm so tired of this excuse. rape jokes were never funny to survivors. it's just that now people other than survivors give a shit. blackface was never funny to Black people. it's just that now white people give a shit. the popular opinion is really just the opinion of those in power which has historically always been white cis straight men. and HE WAS GETTING CALLED OUT THEN TOO. why do you think no one wanted to be in his shitty movie "not cool"? why do you think one reviewer called it "a comedy that only date-rapists, racists and sociopaths could love"? sis we been knew. it was you kids who were clueless until someone dug up some shit on twitter.
Shane might fancy himself as an “everyday joe type of gay” but him and his boyfriend are flexing wearing Gucci and living in that HUGE mansion. That’s no relatable in the least
Its not flexing to buy things that you like with money you earned. His house and car are in his videos sometimes, so what? How is it flexing to live in a home and drive a vehicle?
He really tries to be relatable but it's not genuine because dude has enough money, and in the series his point was just "I could've made so much more money" and the way he made it seem like he was a poor just makes him look greedy. He should've just left it with an "I could've made so many better decisions but I didn't know anything of business". And same with his mental ilness and fatness. I also make fat jokes about myself, mainly because I do have a dark sense of self-mockery, but it is so overused when you do it everywhere and with everyone.... (and it makes other people uncomfortable and makes you seem like a whining b-tch) + I'm pretty sure Ryland loves Shane, but he just wants the cash (and fame!) as much as Shane
honestly i feel like he laughed to make it seem like he only remembers it as embarrassing moment in his life but in his mind being “i’m gonna run over this bitch with my car”
citrus meat it really showed with the Eugenia Cooney documentary. The point is that recovery takes time, but for him nudge his way into her privacy, I felt like that disturbed her progress and she’s starting to look back to the way she was before going to rehab. But a lot of people ate it Shane’s video as inspirational and like 😐
What's even more outrageous is that Jake and Tana seem to be doing a lot better since their documentaries because collabing with Shane gave them a HUGE PR boost, so of course Jeffree saw it as an opportunity to walk back from being seen as drama-hungry and problematic AND to make money, so it was a 2 for 1. Jeffree got a Black Friday BOGO deal by collabing with Shane.
But he's an ~empath~ he's literally sooooo *nice*! He doesn't have it in himself to be ! That's why he takes the side of everyone he's ever had to be critical of ever.
I stopped watching after the Jake Paul ‘documentary’. As a mental health clinician, I found it frustrating to watch someone try label someone a ‘sociopath’ or suggest he had some other mental health condition for views.
jake paul is garbage. shane spending so much time on him, making money off each others fan base, its business. it really shows shane is only here to make money. i prefer any of his other videos, especially the conspiracy videos or where he hangs out with friends. maybe his friends couldn't stand his fakeness when the camera was on. maybe they really weren't his friends. i wonder if he was paying them.
Green1998 the psychologist that was present in the jake Paul documentary series irritated me the most bc she kept on saying she “has a feeling” of sociopathic characteristics from Jake by just observing a bit his presence and not actually communicating with him or anything.
@Handsome Squidward I imagine Andrew is probably also sticking around for the paycheck. I imagine he must get paid pretty well, and it's a steady gig for him, which probably isn't the easiest thing to find in his line of work. Anyhow, Andrew and Morgan seem like the only genuine people in this situation (besides Garrett, but he hasn't' really been around lately). Hopefully the truth will come out in time.
The fact that Shane’s crying on the floor with a £650 balenciaga hoodie AND THEN SAYS HES POOR.... the privilege is real ladies and gentlemen.I could pay my rent for a whole month with that one hoodie.
@@serenaspellman2708 a fake one, sure😂 my bro bought fake Yeezy that looks exactly like the original, nothing out of place. It makes me wonder, brand influence or not, why people waste so much money on shit like this.

Lavender Pyon liking your own comments isnt a good look. Your still invalidating his emotions because he has money sounds like your just jealous your not in his situation
A R im not a fan i hated the series and it was a waste of my time. But people who sit here and complain about rich people showing emotions act like they arent allowed to have feelings or an opinion because they have money news flash just because you have money doesnt mean a happy life its literally the opposite look at literally everyone who has won the lottery their lives are destroyed by money
This might sound kinda rude but I’m so glad all Shane’s channels got demonetized 😆 he was always saying and fake crying about how “poor” he was and that other youtubers were richer that him... well, now it’s true (I know he’s still a millionaire from all the money he got by manipulating his fans lol) but I’m so glad that at least he’s not gonna be able to make money from RU-vid anymore. Enjoy the rest of the humble pie you served to James 😋 lmao.
He’s the RU-vidr version of girls posting pictures and the caption says like “I’m so ugly god eww” so people fill the comments with “No YOu’Re So PrEttY”
Newspaper Coke Coffee I think Shane’s content is trash and he is really manipulative BUT I think I’ll give him a pass with the “I’m fat” comments. As far as i remember her has body dysmorphia and I know he’s struggled with his weight practically his whole life. Fishing for money? Yeah! But is he genuinely insecure? Definitely.
@@bookisland6515 I can see a bit of your points on that. It's just that he seems to say it to the point that it's suspicious for me. But then again, I don't watch Shane either so I can't really say much, but I do think he is insecure and seems like he's the kind of person who needs to be reassured constantly. That or he's faking it in order to seem 'relatable' to his fans
shane crying on the bathroom floor is so funny for no reason- he's posed like a 7 year old who was told they need to eat vegetables before they get dessert
That Thing aha I agree I just meant that Shane was one of these shitty people who were uncancellable you know like no one expected people to actually realise how fucked up his behaviour was and actually call him out.
My friend gushed to me about how she managed to get an order of the palette and how she watched every episode and I was too shocked to ask how she can watch these fake ass people make hour long ads. It's like this cult where neither of them can do anything wrong, they're just sooo relatable and likeable somehow??? I'm guessing that people get emotionally attached to the persona Shane and Jeffree put on and just believe everything they say, without wanting to believe the justified criticism.
Can't believe I totally fell for that series when it was first airing. Looking back it was so manipulative and I took it all at complete face value. Glad I came to my senses eventually lmao
Yeetus Mcfeetus I’m literally so kind, I defend cancerous, racist RU-vidrs such as Jeffree Star, Tana Mongoose, Jake Paul, not even mentioning myself Shane Dawson making black face and playing all these ratchet “black” women, while getting payed millions for being Jeffree Star’s little asskisser. I even created a makeup line thanks to my asskissing abilities!
Elise M I’m so manipul... *cough* kind that I still managed to get away with making pedophilic (saying a 6 years old is sexy) and zoophilic (wanting to cum on his cat) jokes! Every other RU-vidr would have been cancelled long time ago but I somehow managed to be thriving RU-vidr since alll of these were only “jOkeS” ...🙄
This will sound SO stupid, but why is it so hard for these people to just... not do this stuff? Like yes everyone makes mistakes, but THEY are on a WHOLE OTHER LEVEL!!!! I don't get it.
Mel's crybaby exactly, like I’m glad he apologized but it means nothing when you still profit off a racist character and hang out with problematic people like Jeffre so it makes it hard to believe him. I do like the fact that he introduced me to watching Garrett and Drew
that “crying” shane did in the restroom because of the money he made on his merch was the most PATHETIC attempt at crying ever lmaoaoaoaoa so disingenuous
And he popped off at Tati for fake crying in that dumbass livestream when all off his bootleg documentaries are basically him fake apologizing for horrible people and feeling making himself look like some pathetic babyman in need of sympathy
I literally called him on his video for trying to be so manipulative back in the day and some of his fans were really buying his "I'm not going to sell anything :/ I'm sad" I'm really glad people are seeing how manipulative and disingenuous he can be
Stream Halsey's new album Maniac that is a terrible excuse. Poor mentality? A poor mentality may cause you to be more stingy about buying expensive items because of your upbringings but sitting in your mansion with an expensive top crying I’m poor? That’s for sympathy views
He even has the "rich douchebag" laugh, I'm not saying he's a douchebag hahaha but whenever he laughs I'm like "this is a hearty, echoing through the walls of my giant house rich person laugh" I have no clue if this makes sense
I'm not sure, but I get the impression from what he is saying at 2:09 that he is DEFINITELY aware his audience is teenagers. I get the nervousness and insecurity, but like - when he says "wow like jefree's fat friend, can't believe he's hanging out with that fat girl" or something (i honestly can't tell what he says there) that's something literally only preteens and teenagers care about.
I talked to my sister who works in cosmetics and she said it perfectly - "It looks like a palette made by someone who doesn't know anything about makeup".
That shot of them standing in their Gucci and hugging in front of their workers is so disgusting especially after Shane was complaining about "being poor :("
@@jmira9199 Yeah it's not about the workers being mistreated cause we don't know that but just the juxtaposition of Shane crying about not being rich enough and these people who will likely never have that kind of money.
I haven't watched the series but I do get a manipulative vibe from Shane nowadays. I think he plays the "i'm naive and innocent" role too much and it comes off super insincere. I'm not sure if that makes sense.
He’s also very open on screen. He comes across as relatable to people as what I suspect is a manipulation tactic. To make us feel comfortable and build a sense of trust.
The Morgan thing bothers me. Like this is a real issue, that they could have used to spread a beautiful message about loving yourself but instead they just kinda shoved Morgan into the video to make people feel bad.
It also seemed like a humble brag from Shane about how great he was for bringing it to light and still loving her and introducing her to jeffree who gave her a little pep talk, when he could have given a real in depth look into what happened and about the toxicity of that community and all these brand deals and trips and what it's doing to young influences mental health and self esteem... Instead it was a... Look how good I am for caring about my sister in law and look how good jeffree is for being nice to her despite how below him she is 😒 it annoys me how he always claims to be a strong empath when he constantly disregards other people and their feelings and the only empathy he shows is the same amount as you're everyday person
Yeah let Jeffree give a pep talk about not needing fillers and surgery..... he also acts like those girls that were mean to her. It was so unsettling and weird to watch
I was really upset that they didn't go into more detail on that because it was actually interesting and could have been a very uplifting and teachable moment for younger viewers
You do not know how much I appreciate you for having the balls the call him out. I am BEYOND tired of this man being seen as perfect and untouchable. BEYOND tired.
I get it. I'm a lot like Shane, when it comes to my insecurities. I'm too nice a lot of the time and sometimes I need to give myself a reality check. I can see how that would annoy people 😂
I fully admit I was sucked in by the “friendship” aspect of his series and Shanes whole poor me I am the worst at capitalizing on my fame BS. Thankfully I realized these fools don’t give a shit about anyone but themselves and pulled my head out of my ass before I bought anything.
If Shane has moved on from his racist past then why does he still sell Shanaynay merch? He's still profiting from his past jokes yet says he regrets them and has changed... Doesn't make sense to me
@@lamb9770 Of course not, Because most of Shane's fans are brainwashed. Wait, did i say most? I'm sorry, I mean just the fanbase. There's no one that's a fan and knows his bs and stays a fan.

Jeffree publicly calling James a sexual predator & getting off scot free was deeply disturbing to me at the time. Seeing it happen again with Shane involved made everything feel all the more calculated.
Also remember who made this video - Shane and Jeffrey. They were never gonna put anything in it that made them look bad. So of COURSE they barely touched on the drama only after being pressured to do so. The truth was never gonna come out - not from them. It IS orchestrated
Its bc they cant show the reciepts without looking bad themselves. It would show jeffree for what he is, vindictive, jealous and deperate to be top dog...it would show that shane is a freaking snake
Funny how he criticises people for getting on his case about the weird cat stuff, saying 'guys there are bigger problems in the world, ya'll are so stupid for making this a concern', but can also turn around and have the audacity to cry about money when we all know he's fucking rolling in it. I guess those 'bigger problems' are only relevant when it paints him sympathetically.
Has everyone forgotten about when he auctioned off his underwear and the last price before it was shut down was I think somewhere over 100,000? And yet, apparently no one would want to buy his pallette.
Can't help but find it hilarious how he spent years trying to 'rebrand' all these other toxic RU-vidrs (with relative success) but when he got cancelled none of them came to defend him. Anyone else wonder if he did all the deep, profound videos with horrible internet stars in the hope that if his past ever emerged they would reciprocate the favour and do one about him?
