I'm Aussie and the lines at the 9/11 part almost killed me. Shane does a HILARIOUS Aussie accent. My girlfriend asked "do we really sound like that?" and I'm like "nnooooeeerrrr"
I worked with an Australian. Guy was a highly intelligent, reserved whiz with electronics…until you got to know him. He was STILL all that, but there’s something about Australians’ sense of humor. They’ll gat the job done, and then waste no time in applying their skill set to pursue amusement or play practical jokes upon each other. The intonation and cadence of their accent broadcasts that energy.
I literally died when I first heard this..the ‘noooooooooooo’ got me bad, reminded me of along came Polly when that dude free jumped off the building, his shoot deployed late and he landed in the tree😂😂
Dude yes. I was lucky in that Shane booked a show at a very small and new comedy club nearby right before he BLEW UP. Like he was already pretty big but during his tour he skyrocketed. But he kept that show. And I was lucky to get tickets. There were hundreds of people standing outside this club lol. Anyway, he did this same routine. To a T. Hardly any differences. Yet I have watched this special probably 6 times on Netflix and clips of it hundreds of times. I always laugh just as hard as I did seeing it live 😂😂
His impression sounds a little more New Zealand to me. Goth kiwis is basically the theme of the movie what we do in the shadows, so I get it. If you want to hear an ominous Australian voice talking about dark twisted things, listen to the podcast casefile.
Its like American and Canadian accents. You cant tell the difference unless you’re either Canadian or American. I cant tell the difference between Australian and New Zealand accents. They sound the same to me.
lived in aus my whole life and it's a really good impression, oddly accurate with no semblance of crocodile dundee, he's clearly spent time around australians
