I originally wrote this song about being in a young band.. finally getting to play shows outside of our home state for the first time.. and it honestly ended up going so much deeper than that.
It talks about the struggles that come with doing this as a career.. and all of the sudden it hit home more than ever when the bus fire happened.
We had ironically just shot this video.. about the “struggles of the road”… and then literally our whole world turned upside down within the next like 48 hours..

Saw them last summer. It was fun. He spilled his water on me a lil while performing. I swear I just found the two shirts I brought from that show yesterday. The fiddler is my favorite entertainer.

This song has managed to capture the feeling every man who has ever left home to find work to improve their families condition. Be it in a band, an oil worker, soldier, contractor or a salty raider from the old times. Leaving home to find your fortune and the pain that comes with that decision...you captured the emotion perfectly.

this song is alright with me......it.s a good one......my brother Steven was in Oklahoma before he made his way home for good. he overdosed in 2012 and he never had the chance to let me know.....or tell me the story of being in Oklahoma. i miss him so much. he played guitar.

I just heard of them tonight. I really like this band a lot but I'm really disappointed that they were playing concerts during a pandemic. Where is the common sense? No one in the audience was wearing a mask.
