@@andrewhoeft2710LOL, I was thinking the same thing. I remember hearing him commentate on TAR videos and thinking he stunk. Now, he’s one of my favorite announcers and he is my 1P announcer. Much improved!
I think it would be cool if the tournament was race to 5 in the earlier brackets, race to 7 in quarterfinals, race to 9 in semifinals and race to 11 in the finals. Really give a chance for the cream to rise to the top and the fans get to see longer games of the more interesting matches
I could listen to Frost for days. Him and Jones playing off each other with their voices during the J. Shaw/M. He match was fantastic, both for my pool knowledge and for my ears. 😅
That is definitely a Lincoln. 😂What a sharp & motivated young man. Hoo-Rah little dude! I am the first Lincoln at 50 & some of the kids I grew up with named their kids Lincoln. I travel teaching the hack of pool. Automatic or simple aiming systems, paramount, forward facing or center body stance, cue grip, delivery & timing or (transition). Transition being the most fragile part of the stroke. It’s usually a direct indicator of skill along with stance. Amateurs average .4 seconds in the transition or “backswing to front swing pause, and pros average 1.2-1.6. I’d love to give him an instant improvement & simplification of his game. ALL my students instantly play much better. No “dismantling & then relearning”. Kids never holding a cue are beating me in a few hours. I’m going to also root for a Lincoln Webber next time I see him, say hey. Monica’s been one of my closer friends in pool since 1997 when she came to Arizona & my little brother played her pro friend. I’d love to give another Lincoln my clinic & repertoire. Pretty good at getting high level out of anyone & even getting pros back competitive. Keep waiting for someone to work with me the way I can with others. I’m one of the better billiard instructors I’ve ever known, but I don’t play well. Maybe after I teach you, you can teach me if you’re a Lincoln also. lol I’m a Lincoln Webber fan now buddy. Keep doing Lincoln things little homie.
I've played in Jayson's pool room a couple times. They have many signs posted that you can't do jump shots, and you have to use their gray chalk. The tables are kept very nice and clean though. He also didn't play very well in his own pool room last year. Last year it was very obvious that his mind was preoccupied with running his pool room and tournament. Hopefully this year he isn't letting that ruin his pool playing.
It hasn't been a competition for Europe in the recent years. They have to make it somewhat fun to watch for the public. This certainly worked. If the USA would give some decent competition clowning is not needed.
YEAH SURE, lol. They won because of the clowning. Europe was up 9 to 0 at some point.. but hey, there is always next year for the US to try not to be the clowns themselves.
Yep, I love it when FAKE TOUGH GUY loses. Shaw is a talented player, but acts like an ass. Just an arrogant jerk and people are scared to call him out for his ahole behavior.
@@jamesdavis8731 Wasn't he the perfect gent here? Nothing wrong with a bit of an attitude, or we wouldn't have the characters in this game (Strickland,...)
great playing from both.. Shaw lost it at @ 31:03 (should have gone for the draw/combo?) .. or .. Shane won it because of that incredible 6 right after! that was an amazing pressure shot for him to stay in the match.
Notice Jason grabbed his cues before SVB shot. Can't understand how someone can sit still for the whole game to do that on the win ball. Or maybe I can?
I often think that professional pool players lose motivation to win. They hit balls all day, every day. The routine must be monotonous at their level. Then, at the right moment, they feel energized to win again. It's called being human.
@@vicks8934 I did watch the video, in which the camera does not catch the moment, just Shane reaching towards him after potting the 9. My reasonable inference is that Jason made contact at that point before skedaddling.
when it's alternating breaks like this there's more pressure to "win your inning" in a winner breaks match its entirely possible for a player to not take a turn at the table in a race to 5
Shaw is such a whiney bad sport!!! I like the way he plays but he is bad for the sport!! Shaw.... You got worked... Congratulate your opponent and the ref in a respectful manor....I have lost all respect for this guy!!
why pool match less frames.. i mean, race to 5.. if 4-4 then 5-9 and match is over.. play 1 frames only takes a few minutes.. pool not like snooker, if snooker yer.. i can accpt, but not pool.. should atleast race to 19 minimum (R1)
Thats good idea, I think SVB should as well personally itd almost certainly help him out in his 40s, but great come back win here by comeback I mean I swear I seen Shaw beat him like at least 4 out of 5 last games they played!.
Jayson Shaw lives in USA, owns a business in USA, where is Jaysons USA Flag? Jayson plays Europe Mosconi. Fedor l;ives in USA and gets a USA flag. Fedors Russian and Plays USA Mosconi. WNT is ridiculous. No merit or logic in Matchroom Sports
