Man I wished Shane hadn't gone insane, he could've been such a great character when Negan arrived

He is my favorite character since first episode

Shane remains the best character this show ever had. He's by far the most complex character on the show ever. He was tough, he was a realist, he was mentally abused, and he was misunderstood. Characters with the most complexity opens up a lot of aggressive conversations on whether the character's morality is correct or flawed, and Shane embodies that notion.

It would be great if Rick is knocked out by Negan, has a dream sequence where Shane returns and gives him a pep talk, asks him to keep his daughter alive. They shake hands, Rick wakes up, and beats down Negan....oh yeah. That would be amazing

Shane is the most complex character the show has ever had imo. He added SOO much intensity to each scene he was in. You never knew what he was going to do, and I LOVED that about him bc I would feel anxious every time he was on-screen. Although I was glad Rick killed him, I cannot help but miss what he contributed to the show as a whole. I mean, just imagine if he had lived well into Season 3, and they had changed the plotline a bit to where he had scenes with The Governor. I would've paid folding money for that, man!! XD this video is amazing in every way, and the dialogue was flawlessly inserted into the scenes you chose. Excellent!!!

Shane was such an interesting and complex characters, still mad they killed him. I think I agreed with every opinion he had, he was right, he made the hard choices, he was a survivor.

I liked Shane a lot he had a temper no doubt but he showed rick and Hershel how the world really was and made them wake up to reality. He knew what it took to survive and showed know fear.

Shane and Rick man...john Berthal / Andrew Lincoln.. These 2 did one hell of a job. Shane went from a literal character made to die in a few pages to...a really complex fan favorite. I loved this character so much, may not be my favorite, but I can assure you hes in my top 5

Shane had to die for Rick to become who he is now. After Shane died Rick understood sometimes you have to get your hands dirty to survive. He became who Shane wanted him to be its really good they way it turned out. The group wouldn't have lasted as long if Rick didn't change. Shane thought Rick was to weak but Shane lost it and couldn't get back, Rick lost it but he came back better than ever.

And I also love the parallels!

I wonder how the show would've played out if Rick wasn't shot in first season, and experiences the outbreak, apocalypse and chaos and what if he didn't shot Shane in the ending of second season. Man, that's all im wishing for right now. To see them drop their guns each and just hug and return back to the farm alive and well. And the farm wouldn't even be overrun by walkers. That's all im wishing for. Oh and yeah, Lori wouldn't die... GOD DAMN YOU AMC, WHY DID IT HAD TO BE THIS WAY!? WHAT A CRUEL WORLD!!! D; EDIT: And yeah, i liked my own comment because probably no one will ;(

With all that is going on I kind of forgot about Shane....but I remember I liked him, even though he went crazy.... he was one of the first to realize what was going on. Let's not forget he was Rick's best friend... You captured their relationship perfectly!

While it's amazing to imagine how interesting and even more depressing Shane's story would of been had he lived (imagine watching your best friend be happy family's with your child and the women you love) look at what Shane has become, he's become a symbol, he is constantly referenced as part of ricks story arc as rick constantly walks the line of sanity that his best friend did before him

Shane was a good man. Even tho he was a total douchebag, he was a brave man. I kinda feel bad for hating him cause of what he did. He saved rick's family, but he lied to Lori that rick was dead. He saved Carl's life after he was shot, however he had to sacrifice Otis' life to do so. He may be gone, but while baby Judith is still around, his spirit lives on...

I felt bad for Dhane. He tried to get Rick out of the hospital and wanted to but left him behind because he knew that the military would've killed both of them if he had tried to get him out. He got Lori and Carl to safety and then they hooked up. But it wasn't intentional. Like Shane said he didn't keep Lori and Carl alive they kept him alive. His best friend's wife and son was all he had left in memory of him. He only lied to her about Rick being dead; because like he said he knew that she wouldn't have left, if she had known that Rick was still alive. And with the way the city was they all would have died. So Shane saved her and Carl's lives, by lying to her about Rick. He did not take advantage of her being vulnerable to get into her pants Shane haters out there. She willingly layed on her back and got on all fours; but then tried to act like the innocent victim once Rick came back. I never blamed Shane for any of his actions. Fort Benning would have been the smarter option given as it was a military based camp as opposed to going to the cdc hoping that it was full of scientists working on a cure. I would killed Otis too because he was the reason Carl was fighting for his life and it's kill or be killed in a situation like that. If Shane hadn't killed him, they both would have died and Carl would have died.Giving up a search for a lost child after days instead of wasting weeks looking for her or him makes sense. Looking for food and water and ammunition is more important. Breaking open the barn was smart too. Who the hell with half a mind is gonna live somewhere where there is a barn full of the dead that can break out at and kill them at anytime. And last not least Randall. First he shot at Rick and Glenn and Hershel and then revealed he went to school with Maggie and then revealed that he was from a group of rapists. No voting needed. Put a bullet in his head and be done with it. Shane was the man. And like Dale said that world was where he belonged.

I bet if Rick never got shot and went to the hospital, Shane would still be alive because Lori would still have Rick

What if Shane got trapped on that bus and then he was gone until Season 6 and was with Negan's men and was now Rick's enemy? I feel like TWD could've done that, but I don't think they were thinking like that at the time. Or even, what if Rick and Shane reunited in the Sanctuary in Season 5 and were cool, and then at the end of Season 6, Shane got Lucilled? I wish they could've included anything like these because I really liked Shane as a character

The OG cast were excellent actors, seasons 1 & 2 had some of the best acting in TV history, the rest are also excellent but Shane,dale and Hershel were something else. Regarding Shane I always liked him bc of the actor and bc he had this part of him that asks for pity.
