@@Alpha95782 I didn't degraded Warne. He is legend for sure, I just meant Yasir is one of the best nowadays. Fastest 100 test wickets and fastest 200 test wickets are just some records of Yasir Shah.
@@NoBullFitness Yes he broke both his legs when he was a kid. Although it wasn't a wheel chair, it was just a little cart that he would sit in and push himself around. Hence the strong shoulders and strong wrists and hands.

The fact that leg spinners don’t get lbw decision for a right handed batsman if pitched outside leg stump, and still he managed to get 700+ test wickets despite playing outside south asian spin friendly conditions mostly, is quite scary. He would have easily end up with 1500+ wickets if everything is taken into account. He is simply the Spinning God along with Murali. 2 GOAT 🐐 spinners of all time. 🙏🙏
For a country that depended predominantly on pace bowlers, Shane Warne was that wild card they could take out and clean up the opponents at any phase of the game.
Bill "Tiger"O Reilly is in the frame as well. He turned his leg break a lot and at a brisk pace. Bradman once said that modern batsmen would struggle greatly against him since they would have encountered anyone similar. Probably. Like how il timers would have battled against Warne. Both freaks.

for me if there was a fast bowler it was Wasim Akram, if a spinner , it was Shane Warne. Such a talent . We would copy his action when we were teenagers in north western Pakistan in Late 1990s
Real talent..Where the fast bowlers used to quiver the batsman of that era , there a sudden appearance of the magic leg spinner moreover outside of the Asian continent was really overwhelmed the world..a lot of respect and love to u Shane from India..👏👏

Hearing people talking about Warne having some freakish ability that allowed him to drift the ball, while Murali has the same thing and they call him a chucker. Oh the irony. Both bowlers were geniuses that we will never see again, especially in the T20 era.
Everybody talks about his physical ability but no one talks about the amount of deception he put into his bowling. An average leggie who knows how to play cat and mouse with batsmen will often turn out to be matchwinners . Warnie became so sucessful because of two reasons. 1-He could deliver the exact delivery that he wants whenever he needs it. 2-He was a master of deception an illusionist.
He's definitely the God of leg spin. However, in the IPL, he also showed that he's a fine leader by leading the RR very gallantly. His batting in test matches has been good when he had opportunities. How much more would you want from a player.
Well he might have been thrashed by Indian batsmen but that doesn't take away his match turning and winning ability. Arguably the greatest bowler, fast and spinner combined, the game has ever seen. A thinking bowler. Each bowl of his seemed like a tactic.
People may talk of murali, but this thinking genius played mind games with the batsman. None wanted to face him for a reason Murali doesn't come close for he got helpful spinning wickets from the beginning, unlike the aussie wickets
His stance was so cool. Absolutely cool . He just comes walking as I f he will give you a simple ball to play and score but soon as the ball pitches the ground you then know what you are dealing with. More often You just can't judge if he was serious at the other end by his body language. But behind that was a spin and turn his arm and fingers gave the ball a deadly and an unplayable delivery ready to shock you.
Warnie played cricket between 1989 same as our Sachin tendulkar. Only team India batted him pretty well. Shane Warne record against us is very weak. We enjoyed every bit of him.
The Indian batsmen were exceptional players of spin in particular in the subcontinent. As such foreign spinners in general were not as good in India for whatever. Spinners at times do get hit for runs quite a lot which is expected.
Warney sure has revitalised leg spinning and is a bowler par none but Lets not forget that it was Abdul Qadir who revived the art of Leg Spin. He was the out there in the 70s& 80s bamboozling batsmen. Credit to his captain Imran Khan for recognising that and using that. Warney acknowledges this fact too.
Shane is world no: 1 spinner . He has just a cool bowling action. muralidharan had jerk bowling action thats how he got more success but shane bowling style coolest ever till this day
and that is why Sachin was such an all time great. I remember he used to thrash Aussies at will. The only other batsman who did it with such consistency was the Great Lara.

This was mostly from warnes goldern years 1993-1997, when he had a ball that deceived batsmen (flipper). Post period he never had any deceiving weapons and just relied on his deadly accuracy. This is why Muralitharan averages far better than Warne, he always had a deceiving ball up his sleeve.
That's not accurate. The majority of Indian tracks offer slow, low turn. And these are batting paradises, especially to home batsmen. Occasionally, Indians produced a wicked turner, like they did at Ahmedabad, recently. Warne never bowled on one of these. I think even the Indians would have feared him in Ahmedabad.
He got a lot of wickets for Glenn McGrath too and vice versa, by softening batsmen up and dropping the run rate they were an absolutely lethal bowling combination
English just won a single ashes during that tenor of Shane Warne, it's enough to understand how much it was difficult to face him for English while it was just opposite case when he played against India.
Though I was a kid then & didn't had tv to watch Warne at his prime, now watching him on yt proves how good he was, make no mistake this were not subcontinental tracks which would spin by itself, you had to spin it

@@alastaircook8533 Records can be misleading. If you went by record, Adam Voges would be the second best batsman of all time. Take away Murali's plentiful tests against substandard Bangladesh and Zim and his record looks quite average, considering he played on mostly spinning tracks, whilst Warne played on mostly flat tracks. Murali averaged 29 outside Sri Lanka with those filters, compared to Warne's 25. Both average around 25 total. Even Warnie has a far better average in Sri Lanka. Murali's record is heavily skewed if you go by stats alone, and doesn't go in his favour if you take away the rubbish teams.
Rob do you have the footage of a Glenn McGrath interview where he was asked a wicket number (#78 for example) and he could say exactly how he got the wicket, who the batter was etc.?
