It was definitely an improvement compared to some other rides, but overall I agree with you. I don't like how they go from one screen to another on the train and at the end. It's not so much the lack of animatronics though, but the lack of time in between screens for me.

It's similar to the weak Web Slingers ride-through at Disney's 2nd park in Anaheim, CA. Although CGI images projected on screens in such attractions still do cost money to create, they're way less than building, operating & maintaining actual, real-life moving figures or objects.

How the highest quality park is the one in the country people will casually compare to Germany a century ago (with good reason due to the accuracy) which is also by far the lowest income of any with a Disney or Universal scale park is as baffling as it is depressing.

If this is high level Disney then man, Disney people's expectations have dropped significantly.

@@ZontarDow Blatant inaccuracy of this ‘highest quality’ label aside, how is it depressing or baffling that a park in a country with over a billion people (more than double the combined total of local citizens to all of Disney’s theme parks combined) continues to receive investment and attention from the company? And does income, ethnicity, or government (which, by the way, is not something the people of China have chosen) render someone less deserving of a having a good theme park? I am first in line to point out the issues in the country’s governance, but comments like yours reek with prejudice towards Chinese people themselves.
@ZontarDow
@ZontarDow 5 месяцев назад
@@oliverbeeby6388 "How come a country with a population that can afford to attend those parks smaller then Germany, whose government is the Nazi Germany of our age, in a country where when the checks came in for media exports the checks bounced, something everyone is baffled by seeing continued investment in?" You're not first in line for pointing out issues of China's governance, you aren't in line at all, and you're more likely to be the type who despises the people of China by running defence for their government like you just did here. Pointing out that it's baffling that Disney and Universal saw a burning pile of money and decided the course of action was to throw money into that fire, and that even if it wasn't a financially dimwitted decision it was an immoral one to boot, was not something you where ever under any actual impression stemmed from a dislike of the people of China.

Even though the objective of the ride might not be the most spectacular of trying to save a pop star, it looks very well done and overall the pacing of the ride makes up for it. I wouldn't mind if it came to Orlando, but in my opinion, it belongs more to Hollywood Studios than Animal Kingdom. Animal Kingdom should be reserved for learning about conservation and stuff like that, not just a park to have animals in. Especially since the ride is a police chase, it would be very unfitting.

Where I Belong: A week after the events of the previous episode, Barbara and Harold still in a love triangle kind of scenario try to make Nick and Judy their husband and wife and marry them and make them their love interests despite them having zero romantic feelings for them in return because of Nick and Judy already being a romantic couple and boyfriend and girlfriend themselves, Nick and Judy soon enough reveal in this episode to Barbara and Harold’s happiness and excitement that they did have platonic feelings for them not just for their beauty and handsomeness but also for their careers and how much they had in common with each other and Barbara and Harold sorta did the same for Nick and Judy themselves and the whole reason why Nick and Judy are not in love with Harold and Barbara is not because they want to be in love with them, because they sorta do but because Nick and Judy are already boyfriend and girlfriend themselves and it is against the rules to have more than one spouse or love interest causing Barbara and Harold to sorta realize the error of their ways and what bad friends and love interests they have been to Nick and Judy and they on an important character arc and redemption arc in the episode reform becoming neutral characters to becoming heroes but not without a three week house arrest and watching movies with puppets to torment and torture them as they find puppets very creepy as punishment/coumppence for their sexual harssment for Nick and Judy in the previous episode to avoid making them karma hounidis but after the protagontists learn from the Spider-Fox family and Spider-Otter family that I will explain in a moment that is is never actually against the rules to have more than one spouse or love interest as you can actually have several just like the Spider-Fox family and Spider-Otter family can and have multiple kids to raise with them all too, (Also to avoid rehashing the you can only have one spouse or lover cliche.) as long as you give all your lovers and spouses equal attention with no rivalries or playing favorites sorta off scenarios, Barbara and Nick accept their romantic feelings for each other in a humble and happy and not selfish and sneaky way same for Judy and Harold and after Nick and Barbara and Judy and Harold date each other even at the Rainforest Riviera and other places and have fun together and develop chemistry in their relationships for a few months even during Valetine’s Day Barbara and Nick get married with their wedding being held at the same place where Nick’s parents had their wedding with Flash as their chief witness also since Nick was also Flash and Priscalla’s chief witness at their own wedding and Harold and Judy getting married at the same place where Judy’s parents had their wedding with Fru Fru as her chief witness with all their closest friends and families at their weddings as their bridesmaids and groomsmaids and Judy and Harold move into a new apartment big enough for the two of them in Aye-Aye Apartments where Nick and his extended family live same for Bucky and Pronk and their kids and larger and way more advanced than their old apartments and Rachel moves in with Nick at his apartment and after Harold reveals to Judy he made her pregant with five kids by having sex with her in the previous episode same for Rachel revealing to Nick that he also made her pregant by having sex with her in the previous episode, Barbara and Nick and Harold and Judy make their apartments ready for their new kids and after several months of pregancy and being hospitalized shortly before having their babies, Rachel gives birth at the hospital with Emmet and Mrs. Otterton as her midwives to five newborn red fox cubs and one fennec fox cub and Arctic fox cub who Nick and Rachel name Gordon, Vixen, Henrietta, Ernest, Darel, Wendy and Katie and Judy gives birth to four newborn gray rabbits who she and Harold name Fredrick, Katie, Frankie and Yonald and Rachel, Nick, Judy and Harold raise all their new kids at their homes in Aye-Aye Apartments and were awesome parents to them never neglecting them in favor of their jobs and also having them babysat by the Otterton family, Gazelle, Fru Fru, Clawhauser and Chief Bogo and their families whenever they were not around and it even met their grandparents and aunts, uncles and extended family and the episode’s epliogue shows Gordon, Vixen, Henrietta, Ernest, Darel, Wendy and Katie, Fredrick, Sarah, Frankie and Yonald as five year old kids or six year old kids as they were all born on the same day on Christmas Eve, leading them having sometimes shared birthday parties and other times they don’t and have parties dedicated to them, and Vixen and Henrietta having stronger bonds with their dad Nick than mom Rachel and became daddy’s girls while Gordon and Ernest had stronger bonds with their mom Rachel than dad Nick and were mama’s boys and Fredrick and Yonald also became mama’s boys to Judy while Wendy and Katie also became daddy’s girls to Harold and despite having new spouses to love and kids to raise, Nick and Judy still continue their romantic relationship with each other and date each other and remain strongly in touch with each other planning to get married themselves one day when the time is right. The episode’s subplot focuses on Nick and Judy and their new spouses and kids now five and six years old and even in Nick and Judy’s careers as police officers and Detective Oates and Clawhauser that even Nick and Judy’s new spouses and kids and other friends including Gazelle, and Fru Fru and their own families find interesting foreshadowing the events of a future episode, trying to stop the schemes of the episode’s main antagontist and anti-villain, a duck-billed playptus named Murray and his montreme minions who all work as scientists plan in a science laboratory to create a genetically modified bacteria and virus to infect and kill and create the genocide of all of Zooptoia’s placentals and marupsials making montremes its only mammal species to have revenge on placentals and marsupials for discrimintating against montremes and treating them as second class citizens in the past as well as for causing the deaths of Murray’s parents when he was twelve years old due to discrimination caused towards his species at the time with him being raised by his aunt, uncle and cousins immediately afterwards and create equal rights and justice for all montremes.

The large screen sections are huge disappointments, but at least the rest of the ride has several high quality animatronics and nice physical sets. Spider-Man at IOA pioneered the "wrap-around screen" scene, and Disney's trackless dark rides that do not have motion sim bases cannot compete with this. Hot Pursuit even tries to do a "simulated loop" with this concept, and I can only imagine this coming across as disorienting to riders. Contrast this with the land outside, which looks fantastic...

I can’t judge a ride that I haven’t ridden personally but from everything I’ve seen I thought it would’ve been a lot better of a choice to go with an EMV system or a whole brand new concept such as an EMV trackless darkride vehicle! This ride looks absolutely incredible and immersive but as much as I’d love to experience IRL I feel as if the screens could be so much better by putting more physical sets around the screens so it’s hard to tell what’s real and what’s a projection and my other thing that really bothers me and it’s probably way better in person is that the amount of high level details and picture quality they put in their movies I don’t understand why they can’t seem to make the quality look as real and believable as their on screen performances when it comes to their attractions screen based scenes but besides my minor nitpicks with this attraction this was a really ambitious project to take on and Disney in the long run has really done well with this I just wish Disney would spoil the guests the same way here in the U.S. instead of just handing out all the awesome editions and experiences to overseas international Disney Theme Parks!

Honestly the language barrier is the least of people's concerns when it comes to visiting the Disney or Universal parks, even in Hong Kong, the real issue is the safety issues given the cold war has basically led to China being a legitimately dangerous place to visit or do work in for anyone from abroad who can afford to make such a trip given even before the pandemic their government's official stance on taking foreigners hostage at random was open approval of the practice, and things have only intensified since. It's such that it's legitimately baffling to see Disney and Universal not completely divest from their ownership of their parks given, even ignoring the fact that like everything else entertainment related they'll never see their share of those profits to begin with and by now are well aware of this, the mere act of having their parks in China in this day and age is frankly a blight on their brands, and given the stuff both, especially Disney, has been up to over the past decade, that's saying something.

The Chinese have never exactly been great respecters of IP copyrights, but that really shows either intentional and wilful disregard OR amazingly sloppy imagineering management. This is, however, clearly the pinnacle of the trackless-plus-animatronic-plus-sets-plus-screens ride creation process at Imagineering, and I'd love to see it...even if I do find it more than ironic that it is in ChiCom land where a jail-and-prison-and-cops themed story and "jokes" somehow hits a little too close to home, no?

Fanart can not be copyright so disney does not have to pay the artist.

@@harleyxxx5364 Well, you're absolutely WRONG. Yes it can be. Not the character, but the interp. But either way, using someone else's work product without compensation is literally illegal in civilized nations--not that the ChiComs are, of course. People who put huge detention camps next door to themeparks? Right.

But why? Who cares about zootopia?

You know you have to legally disclose paid promotion video right... unless that's somehow not what this is

Zootopia is so overrated. It’s such a bland, vanilla concept that seems like a 2007ish. And the story of the movie is basically nothing. No idea why anyone would invest in this wannabe IP tbh

No one is dumb enough to go to China now. The 2 parks in China are failing miserably. Disney is losing tens of millions each month on these parks.

Incredible????? INCREDIBLE????? THIS IS HORRENDOUS!!!! This is some of the absolute worst showscene quality that I've seen from ANY THEME PARK! I'm including Six Flags and local theme parks in this. This is super lazy, cheap, and hideous! How in good conscience could u call this watered down version of M and M Railway "incredible"? Is your opinion of a compelling ride a tea cup ride with a screen Infront of u and horribly built animatronics? I'm seriously questioning your opinions now!

Opinions will vary, and genuinely that’s a great thing. We’d love to know more about why you think this isn’t up to par.

@@ReviewTyme have u looked at the final scene? It's barren, black walls, animatronics that look drunk, looks like it was built on pennies. This ride is full of scenes that should be talking animatronics that are just screens. The pacing makes no sense, the gags add nothing and it meanders. I will say the opening scene is impressive, but the rest of the ride did not try. The sets are barren, screens flat, gags boring and uninspired(or gross), and the last two animatronics are already in a terrible looking shape. I could go on

@@dayoldbread1696 Either way, both parks in the states are being left to wither on the vine (and NO, changing Dinoland U.S.A. to Encanto doesn’t count as a new edition, just a lazy re-theme).

@@TacoEX1 exactly and sadly true. Thats why I was saying I was so disappointed that we aren’t getting anything new for a long time. And especially disappointed that they cancelled the original e ticket quinjet ride idea for a cheaper avengers ride plan. I hope the executives wake up and stop penny pinching but who knows when or even if that’ll happen. Also yeah d23 was kinda disappointing especially since most of it was re theme and blue sky “maybe” ideas 😂. I hate how instead of fixing California adventure over here, they decided to throw in cheap and lazy re themes like Pixar pier, San fransokoyo, etc. those just suck and don’t even have one ride, which is sad because big hero 6 would open up some amazing ride ideas/land ideas.
