Bayern4Life11 of course it looks nice like this in a time lapse but as a Berliner living in Shanghai I can tell you that the living quality in Shanghai is not very good. The nightlife is pretty weak and the public transportation closes at 11pm, the air quality is terrible and prevents you from doing any outdoor sports over a long time. There are no heaters in the apartments so the winter can get really rough. There is some alternative culture here but it's dominated by a few foreigners and chinese who have lived abroad. It is a fascinating place, however, but don't get any illusions ;)
Thanks for the informative reply. A bit of a wake up call for me, I am daydreaming a bit lol. I guess I should do research on these places before I think these type of things. Again, thanks for the info, I appreciate it.
Bayern4Life11 Hey! I've been living in Shanghai for more than 9 years, i just want to say that despite the negative fact about the city such as the air and water pollution, the nightlife is the most entertaining and not weak at all to me ! Of course there are different opinions, i do admit shanghai isn't the best city in the world but i believe that if you have any contacts here and get to know the surrounding and good places you will enjoy it as much as i do. I recommend you to go there with your friends one day, because this city doesn't get boring ! Cheap life, huge environment (lots of things to visit), lots of clubs, bars and events, nightlife is dynamic, cheap taxis everywhere (exept on fridays) etc.. If you plan to go there, be wise for which bar&clubs you want to go! ;)
PARADOX FX Hey! Sorry for the super late reply! Just wanna say thanks for the additional helpful info. Yeah I can see why people would have differing opinions about Shanghai. I have always been fascinated by the nightlife of different cities around the world, particularly those in Europe and Asia. (cities like Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, then Amsterdam, Munich, Valencia, Paris, London, Oslo...a lot of cities LOL) And I mean I don't have all the resources required/money in order to travel to a place like Shanghai, but within the next 5-7 years or so (sounds like a long time but I'm just finishing up high school haha) after a lot of hard work and me doing well in school, I'll hopefully be able to take a dream vacation and travel to all these unique cities that I am fascinated by. (And why I'm intrigued in the nightlife of these cities at such a young age, I honestly have no idea, I guess I just love being with my friends and have always loved traveling since I was a kid). But with time and work I hope my dream will become a reality someday :) and thanks for this wonderful video! The song makes it all that more spectacular, Intro really is a great song, especially for sports highlight videos and time lapses like these. It's videos like these that inspire me to travel and follow my ambitions. So thanks again! And great work!
