Awesome content! Considering this is only your 3rd vid out, you've put all you content together really well. The contrast between how the 2 couples took how you approached them in itself contributed well to the theme of your vlog and presented a picture of how people can be different. The 2nd guy was just probably not comfortable talking to strangers. Considering he's British, from what i heard about British culture it could probably have been a British thing. Dont get me wrong not saying all of them are the same. Anyway keep em coming! Looking forward to the next vlog. ❤

Yes, doing these kind of videos can be a bit risky at times, but you will find people will naturally come to you as they see you filming. Good attempt on the interview. I definitely wouldn't have known how to start. The white guy looked irritated lol. I surmise in the future it will take like 10 bad interviews for every 3 good ones haha. Keepe at it. I like the foreigners in Shanghai focus. Maybe you should have a series on that!

Thank you Miranda for this great video! I love your sense of beauty and modesty, super awesome! I’ve been to Shanghai a few times and also to Hang Zhou! (yes Beijing too!) I think from a western POV, people who are approached in China by someone with a camera automatically think the CCP is monitoring their actions. So, the level of suspicion is high, mostly due to the overwhelming number of cameras everywhere on lamp posts, buildings and especially the highways, snapping photos constantly. All of the people I met in China were very kind, intelligent and welcoming and I did not feel as if they were working for the government, just working and enjoying their life. There were only two times when I did not feel safe. Once was at the airport in Shanghai when after we arrived there were two guys fighting (literally throwing hands) over who got to drive a pretty girl to her destination. I was surprised it was allowed to go on for 20 minutes without police interveneing! Our car arrived and we left before we saw any resolution. The second time I did not feel safe was when meeting with out Chinese counterparts for business, we noticed a drone outside of our conference room window just taking video of us, CREEPY! Please keep vlogging and posting!! You are getting better each time and it shows!“

Hey Miranda excellent video overall. The only thing I would say is that regarding the people that are walking, it is probably a better idea to ask if they would be interested in being interviewed instead of just pressuring them to be on by telling them this is for youtube. Some westerners don’t like to bothered when they are on a date or are in the middle of doing something else.

Hi Miranda, I'm just adding my 2 cents here. As an introvert, maybe when you approach people, first just talk to them without pointing a camera at them. Introduce yourself, and ask whoever is the foreigner if they're from NY because you lived there for 10 years, etc, just to break the ice and make them feel comfortable. You can point the camera at yourself while letting them know what you're doing, and when they feel comfortable to be on camera, you can turn the camera towards them. Because it feels like an ambush, if you approach them and the camera is pointed at them. If someone approached me with a camera while asking a bunch of questions. I would panic and wonder what's going on, and hope they leave me alone, 😂😂. But that's just the introvert in me speaking. Just something to consider next time you have the courage to approach people ❤

Maybe the UK guy felt nervous to talk with such a beautiful lady while walking with his girlfriend. Anytime I’m in a foreign country, I make it a goal to go above and beyond with any local interactions. Unfortunately this guy did not represent the UK in a good light. Keep up the videos, you are a natural.

Curious what those tents are in the park? In America if you see those tents in a park its usually for homeless folks but I assume in China its something different. Also maybe next time ask the people you want to interview if they can stop and chat for your RU-vid channel instead of doing a speed walking interrogation! :-)
