@@ElijahWoodMusic you are awesome. I stumbled across the video yesterday and had to watch a few more , including your first vlog, I think your amazing, coming from a fellow musician/producer .
there's a whole other show going on at that set, how often can any one band member carry the show as well as the front man? pure entertainment! what a workout! Shania must run a happy shop, everyone is having so much fun.
When seeing the title I first thought, wow didn't think Frodo from lotr could play drums, but now I know there is another Elijah Wood haha! Great backbeat playing!
I think there's yet another very popular Elijah Wood, has a great song called "Lights." I also thought it was Frodo when first hearing the radio guy announce the song.
Simple, clean fat 2 and 4 drumming. Fills that serve the music. Timing like a Swiss watch. Having fun on the kit. Terrific drumming. So many drummers try to impress with long improvised solos and over done fills, she just honors the music and keeps perfect time.
So cool 👍 awesome. Greetings from Aachen in Germany. It's so much fun to watch and listen to you. I had a Band 🎤myself and we loved playing Shania Songs. Greatings Julie 🎶
Outstanding!! The camera position is awesome. Gives great perspective of your view of audience from the risers. Great to be able to see your moves and timing. You're an awesome performer. You really dress up the Country Genre with your performance Love your energy . Looking forward to seeing more of this style of video's.
There is NOT One negative comment here! This is a First in the History in RU-vid! This Is the Most Amazing Drumming I have Ever Seen! I’m Not exaggerating! It’s like the Spirits of the Greats Came to Life inside Elijah! Elvis, Dave Brubeck, Etc. I’ve watched this over and over, trying to figure out what Elijah has that I’m missing. Is it Soul? Is it Dedication to the Music? Is it Love of Music! I absolutely cannot Figure this Out. It’s like watching a UFO, and just being Confused Beyond words. I have studied drumming for many, many years. I am Literally at a Loss to understand how Anyone can have Such a Mastery of this Genre of Music. I have played Rock, Classic Rock, Alternative, Punk, Jazz, Grunge, and many other styles. I have studied the Greats of Drumming; Neil Peart, Jon Bonham, Mike Portnoy, Ginger Baker, to name a few; but as I watch and Listen, I appear to be missing something that Elijah has! I mean, it’s Not even about skill; since this isn’t very complicated drumming. I could easily play this with a little practice. No, it’s about Being the Drumming!! It’s about Becoming One with Music. It’s Scary; I feel like I’m watching a God! Like Heaven Opened and the Holy definition of a Drummer stepped down from Heaven as said, “This is How It’s Done, Children!” I don’t mean just this song, I mean All of Elijah’s drumming. I’m blown away!!
She keeps drumming like that and she's got back problems and hip issues in her future. Sure, that kind of movement is great when you're young, but you end up paying for it later in life. See Alex Van Halen for proof.
This is the most addictive drum video ever. The patterns and cymbal playing are out of bounds. The more I watch it though, I think the wind up at the 1:28 point rules over everything else 🙂🙃🙂
@sidneywalker2117 Elia did something other than drum in 2023, but with Phil Rudd aging out, I consider E one of rhe top few pocket drummers out there. It's the arrangements and patterns. The flowing expression in her playing is impeccable.
I have showed your talent to a young lady from the southside of san Antonio she has played drums for fiesta tx since 16 yes of age!! She has it the gift of just loves them 🥁!! Hope she makes it as you have.
That snare sound is great. Despite what some may think, this is not triggered, just well tuned and eq'd. I use a similar sound but mine is a 14"x8" shell and this one looks like a 14"x6.5" shell. The top head is a medium to medium/low tuning and the bottom head is tuned about a 3rd pitch higher with the snare wires a little looser to get that fat sound. I like mine super fat sounding that's why I use the 8" deep shell.
Half of my recommended videos are drummers and the other half are Lord of the Rings videos. I feel like the algorithm just went "Ah fuck it, it's close enough". I was a bit disappointed not to see Frodo on the drums but I did enjoy watching you play!
I commented 4 years ago but lost my old RU-vid account because of my ex, anyway, amazing chops, kit, and above all, extremely skilled drumming! Keep going up you’ve got it!
@@Yosser70 HE,ba ha ha ha, truth hurts, lol.....and sad I am not, have everything I could ask for and more, I know what a boy and a girl are too.....do you?
This is absolutely fantastic! I played drums as a teen and love watching the real thing live. But this is the first time I've had such a wonderful, non-cutaway front row seat to what its like being a concert drummer, even with the isolated raised drum parts and what appear to be the in-ear stems the drummer actually listens to. Elia, is what we hear in these videos what you are actually listening to in your ears? Meaning, main live vocals are almost off (aside from what is picked up by drum mics) and you only hear background guitar and chorus parts? I've watch several of your vids and honestly, this is great. You are a kick-ass top notch drummer!
it is sooooo different in the back row! i played bass in an R & B band with a horn section. It amazed me the first time we played how different the sound was being behind everyone. Just me and the drummer in the back row. It really helped to have a monitor so I could hear the lead vocals a least....Best place I ever played was Boz Scaggs place in San francisco that had a mixing board for just the musicians' monitors...You could have it fine tuned to just what you wanted to hear.
Drummer sitzen fast nur im Hintergrund und deshalb finde ich diese Aufnahmen so toll. Du bist eine Powerfrau :-) . Es ist schön, Dich ( Euch ) mal so zu sehen. Super und Danke dafür.
Love the drum cam concept. She’s a solid drummer who really enjoys playing. I’ve been around awhile and the last drummer who looked like they were having this much fun was the late Keith Moon of The Who which I was lucky enough to see twice. I’m definitely a big fan now of Elijah.
@@williamparker1085 if you knew drums well enough you'd realize her tone and feel are next level, there's no one in this comment section that can make a simple beat sound so fun and Dancy. It's the subtle details that make simple beats next level. And she's top of the game with it
