Elia hasn't played for Twain since September of 2022. Twain's entire band is no longer there. Elia has a side business and currently not on tour. If Rush had thought to reform, Elia would have been my first pick. Her Outta Here video cements that opinion. Utilizes the same outside dual crash cymbal attack Peart used. While Teddy Lamson had improved, every Twain song had to be dumbed down as the skill set just isn't there.
I'm a Metal head and my primary instrument is guitar. I can't stand Shania songs but I could listen to this version all day long!!! The "heart of the band is the drummer. Not the guitarist, not even the singer. That's where all the energy comes from. Elia does an AMAZING job with this and wouldn't be out of place in any band as far as I'm concerned!!! Awesome job Elia!!!!
