What a beautiful and well spoken woman. I loved her as a toddler and into my childhood and as I've gotten older, I respect her so much more. Her music had such a positive message and she preached feminism and consent in her music in a genre that was mostly male driven and, in many ways, misogynistic. She's badass and was way ahead of her time!

I think it is interesting to compare her to Britney Spears because many people thought of them as Artists who were not afraid to be sexy and that appealed to the masses however Shania must have been tougher to stand up for herself and make a platform for future women not to let anyone degrade them. They both had health struggles but Shania chose to stay away from the limelight for a good amount of time and kind of save her sanity. I do not know them personally but I still predict that Britney Spears does not take responsibility for some of her personal problems or mistakes and expects a ton of sympathy. I really believe all women can learn, especially from the entertainment industry to stand by your own values and see yourself as worthy of respect.
