Shankaracharya’s Advaita Vedanta : Self or Brahman | अद्वैत वेदांत : स्व अथवा ब्रह्म की अवधारणा 

Shankaracharya believes in unqualified monism. He considers Brahman as the only truth. Shankaracharya's conception of the self is absolutely identical with Brāhmaņ.
Only one element is called soul from subjective point of view and Brahma from objective point of view. There is no difference between the individual self and the universal Self.
Brahman is described as 'Neti Neti'.
