No, the manga didnt, but this comfirmed his dathe. After his flachback (or whatever was that) we see his powers go away. Thats only happens, if a devil fruit user dies (think back to Law's backstory) R.I.P. Kidd
@ShanksOnly That's not even remotely true. Devil fruit powers can also stop when you get knocked out (a prime example of this being Sugar in dressrosa). We have zero confirmation on Kidd's status
In a SBS (Oda's Q&A), he revealed that Shanks has natural and effortless rizz but doesn't chase after women while Beckman is the one collecting them as he's the playboy of the two. He's basically a successful Sanji lol
@@NST-NinjaSmokeTent Also if you remember, Shanks' technique "Divine Departure" is the same one that Roger showcased on Oden in their first meeting and it's stated to be a conqueror shockwave in Roger's Vivre Card. While Roger was playful using it, Shanks seemed to use it with killing intent. In the manga, some of Kidd's crew already passed out just by the mere unsheathing of his sword, it's name was never revealed in the manga to this day but it was in his Vivre Card and it's called Gryphon 👀 Bonus: You can easily miss it but Killer was actually like 30ft away from Kidd trying to go help him when Shanks attacked 🤣
Shanks still has many secrets. I know that Shanks' behavior is good but I can't say that Shanks is gentle here. Shanks could have mercilessly killed Kidd because he knew Kidd's actions were very dangerous and threatened the safety of his crew. As Gorosei revealed in the pre-Movie One Piece Red episode, Shanks has another brutal side to him behind his soft and friendly exterior.

Law is typical of someone who might act recklessly because of something important like Luffy. but at the same time Law actually put up resistance when facing Teach along with other crew members (or Should i say Black Beard's Commanders). but unfortunately, Law's situation is more like a beating because not only Teach but Burgers and Doc Q are also present with their super powers and making it difficult for Law. imagine the Heart Pirates only Law himself has Super-Power. Of course, Shanks' treatment might have been different if Law had been on his journey instead. maybe Shanks will use Haoshoku to drive Law and his crew away or they could talk to each other with a little intimidation from Shanks. Additionally, if Law was like Ace, Shanks would actually treat him like a guest and invite him for drinks.
You'll also see a pink energy surrounding Kid. This is the pink energy he was charging his railgun with. In the manga, this is what caused the explosion, ut in the anime it seems that the bombs inside Punk Maria caused the explosion that fruther damaged Kid.
