I know this is about Dougherty but since Rose McGowan is in this clip I’m going to mention this…my daughter met Rose several months back at Comic-Con and she was the last person in line to take a picture with her. My daughter loves Scream and is a big fan of Rose McGowan, she was nervous to meet her and thought Rose would just want to hurry up so she could leave (understandable). However she said Rose was anything but, she said she’s really sweet and genuine and kindly took a couple of pictures with her. My daughter didn’t have her phone with her but Rose used her own phone to take them then sent them to my daughter. That really made her day!! Thank you Rose McGowan for being a real lady! And Rest In Peace to Ms Dougherty and prayers to her family and friends.

I met Rose as well at a horror con and she really is a complete gem of a person. I gifted her my Cherry Darling artwork and she was so grateful to receive it (as she said most people just want her to sign their art) and kept giving me hugs. Truly everything I could've hoped for and then some.

Yes that’s when people questioned harder and then when Holly finally broke her silence because she always wanted to keep the peace and she admitted to that, she had to keep it 100. Especially after Milano posted something about her and Holly being close. They haven’t spoken in years and so I get now why Holly was done with her. I remembered S3 and all the media talking about why Shannen was out of the show. They called her problematic and she bullied Milano. Truth was, the way they put Alyssa as the sex symbol is what caused the issue. It was crazy how things went down.
Rose McGowans role will be recognized in the bigger picture of history. It already started. Without her, metoo wouldn’t have happened the way it did, but Hollywood and - even worse - a lot of women still doesn’t recognize it.

I meet her in March of last year at Indy Comic Con. Shannen was so sweet and kind. I got her autograph for my girlfriend who was unable to make it that day.

I worked on a film with Shannen just before Covid, and I can tell you that everyone on set loved her and that she was an absolute pleasure to work with. Mira Sorvino was also in it and man she was just wonderful too.
I think it’s fully possible that both Alyssa and Shannen caused problems when they were younger. Mistakes get made and people grow up, environment and different combinations of people result in different outcomes. Maybe Charmed set wasn’t a good mix, even at the same time the cast on screen was a perfect combination, maybe outside of work shannen and Alyssa just didn’t mix.
I used to hear always the opposite in the 90 ‘s , she was difficult to work with on the set of BH 90210 I think they are both trouble at that time ( both came from hit tv shows , it was competition)
That’s a fact. Shannon was VILIFIED during this period of her life. She could not get a job. She was essentially blackballed within the industry. Nobody wanted to work with her because she had been effectively painted a bad collaborator. She was absolutely pitted against Alyssa. In my naivetee however, I always thought the media was to blame for that. I never would have imagined over the years that it was really Alyssa looking to get rid of her. It wasn’t until Rose McGowan spoke out against her years ago, that I realized… okay… Rose AND Shannon had issues with her? That’s not a one off, that’s a trend. And now Hollie is speaking up. I stand with them. Alyssa’s response was woefully dismissive, ignorant and disappointing.
To be fair though she had that reputation even before charmed i grew up in the 80's & 90's & i remember hearing she had issues on Beverly Hills & in the movies Girls Just wanna have fun & Heather's. So she's not innocent either & also that history is probably why she was villainized plus the fact she was the 1 kicked off the show so its not hard to understand why some people would think she was the issue since it be weird for a studio to fire the innocent 1. A lot of the problems for Shannen on set stemmed from jealousy. On Heathers, 90210, and Charmed she was the most established actress in the cast. In Heathers she didn’t want to curse since she never cursed onscreen at that point, and it made it difficult for other actors to continue the scene when she would hesitate. I hadn’t heard about problems on Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, so I’m curious what happened there. Shannen has always been outspoken and stood up for herself and I think that rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.
Ummm Shanen had a terrible reputation and Charmed was supposed to be a comeback for her because Aaron Spelling still had a soft spot for her and she screwed it up again.
If you watched the show after Shannen's departure, you can clearly see that Alyssa wanted as much attention as she could get. I am sorry to hear about Shannen's cancer and hope she recovers. Seeing these three ladies together shows the real Power Of Three.
It's stage 4. And she's pretty much out of treatment options. Unless it goes back into remission...it'll end her life. She's been very clear about that.

I was diagnosed with stage III BC in 2012 at the age of 45. Only 4 years before Shannen was. I have followed her story with BC because of her being diagnosed at a young age like I was. It takes a special kind of courage and strength to deal with the destructive path that cancer yields upon its victims. Cancer doesn’t care who you are or what your plans are. It just decides that today is the day you find out that you hear those three words - you have cancer. Shannen was an amazing person who never stopped fighting, never stopped living, never stopped believing in that ever so precious thing called hope. When I heard she had passed away on Saturday it stopped me dead in my tracks. I’m going to miss the positive energy and her smile that she always had on her face. I really hate this disease. I’m sorry that this has happened to her and her loved ones that are no doubt devastated by her loss. RIP! ❤
When I rewatch the episodes where Piper was dealing with the loss of Prue it felt more personal to me. Like she was mourning the loss of Shannon from the show. It makes me cry every time I watch those episodes 😢😢😢 2:24
The fact that Shannon’s castmate’s from all the way back at the beginning of her career should speak volumes to her character, just like Alyssa’s castmate’s have never really associated with her after their time together speaks volumes to her character

Tori even said that Shannon called her daily after the news of her dad passing had made it’s way around the former spelling productions for Aaron
It's tragic to think that with all the pain of her cancer, what was done to her on Charmed had cut so deep that it wasn't even overshadowed by her health struggles. Those wounds still hurt just as much. Destroying someone's reputation and career, all but blacklisting them from their livelihood, is a brutal, cold and heartless thing to do to someone. Rose faced it from Harvey Weinstein too. That's why she understands what Shannen went through so well.
Alyssa had everyone believing her side of things. Why would she bother a woman going through cancer with ancient drama? I mean it's been over a decade even if Shannon was at fault shouldn't Alyssa be over it especially since she got what she wanted to begin with?
Rose McGowan was not even on Charmed while Shannon Daugherty was on the show. What I find so funny is how way back in the early 2000's Shannon Daugherty was the one who had the DIVA b*tch attitude which had been called out during her time on 90210. As far as Rose McGowan goes, she loves to insert herself right smack dab in the midst of drama and make herself out to sound like she has been victimized many times and she loves making herself sound as though she is the spokeswoman for the strong-willed survivors.

The show Charmed was a part of my teenage years, that and Buffy the Vampire Slayer were the two shows that I watched religiously and then I could watch over and over and over again and never get tired of it. It’s a shame that the person who was actually causing issues wasn’t the one to leave the show.
What sucks is after Shannen was gone mist of the focus afterwards was Alyssa as Phoebe, I got so tired of every other episode being all about her, they brought in Rose and they could have put more focus really bringing her character out and they did give some focus on Paige, but it felt more like the Phoebe show after season 3.
Shannon you didn't deserve to be fired from Charmed. I'm sorry you had to battle Breast cancer. Cancer is a terrible thing to go through. I'm glad you told the truth about Alyssa Milano.
I have personally seen Alyssa's behavior when I was helping a domestic violence victim with mental disabilities and her 3 disabled kids. Alyssa stood up, defending the abuser and used her social media fans to destroy the lifeline for the mom and her disabled kids. Literally, Alyssa Milano told the victim she was lying thru social media, and she should stop. She is a horrible person. We even got death threats due to Alyssa's behavior (which Twitter did nothing about it). Everything was politically motivated from her part.
How very disappointing. I'll be honest. I always liked Alyssa. But it just goes to show, you never know what's going on. Specially in an industry full of backstabbers and opportunists like Hollywood. I'm sorry Shannon suffered so much and I'm glad she has good friends like Rose and Holly.

Worked and lived in LA for nearly a decade. It was sad finding out how awful some celebrities really are. But in the end you realize they are just people. Some are nice some are not. Also found that a lot of the really BIG stars are the nicest.
And also the movie Heathers! IMO, I feel like she doesn’t get much credit in that movie since, the lead actress Winona Ryder as Veronica Sawyer, gets more attention and credit. I do like Winona and all, but she’s a bit overrated for my tastes, Shannen is the queen as Heather Duke.

I love seeing Rose and Shannen connect. Holly is the heart and soul of Charmed for me, but seeing Rose and Shannen connect gives me an extra level of happiness that no reboot ever could.

When they whacked Shannon in the show I remember the rumors. Then fast forward I see Alyssa how she acts especially on Twitter and I knew right away she was the reason.

Rose McGown is a volitile and unstable person. This is well documented. She is not reliable when it comes to this. She seems to hate Alyssa mainly due to her husbands politics. Shannen has a long history of falling out with people on almost ALL of her projects. HMC is a huge pot stirrer who also fell out with Shannen a few years ago as well. HMC and SD are only friends again since SD got sick. Look at this for what it is. Alyssa's wasn't fully innocent, but neither are they.

Always loved Shannon. I have cancer too. And this has to be tough for her to do. Not a Rose fan but with her there it shows me Milano was the issue. Once you deal with cancer..trust me..nothing else scares you. I'm so happy she spoke up.
This is why after Prue was killed I never liked Phoebe. It was obvious Alyssa needed all the spotlight and tbh it ruined the show for the next couple seasons. I liked her character a little more again in the final season. She seemed more grounded.

Shannen Doherty directed her own death scene at the end of season three - without being told. Alyssa had her fired and Holly was locked into a contract whereby she could not leave the show. they all had to pretend that Shannen quit. I always felt Alyssa was lying because Shannon’s character was more prominent than hers and she, Alyssa, did whatever she did to ensure she was the lead character and the producers owe Shannon, Holly Marie and Rose a huge apology for allowing Alyssa to get Shannon off the show. People are blaming Alyssa but they tend to forget Alyssa and Holly were ( or are ) still friends since the end of Charmed. They even filmed an episode of Greys Anatomy together, post pictures during their birthday, they’re friends. Holly spent a long time without speaking to Shannen because of her cancer, she said she wasn’t fun, she would drink and go out that’s why we never seen them during maybe 3-4 years and it was only in 2023 that they reunited. Rose never liked of disliked Shannen, she hates Alyssa ( and I still don’t know why ) and she attacks her every time she can….but the problem is Alyssa……

Rose never has any issue with AM until the metoo movement, and Rose is known to attack people who disagrees with her, and then apologize later. Rose also has no right to butt in SD and AM drama when she wasnt there to withness it. SD had a reputation being diva on the set and already got fired from a 90210. HMC is a snake who keep stirring pot between 2 of them when both SD and AM already moved on the drama and follow where the wind goes (she was close to AM when she herself have a fall out with SD and now attacking AM when she is friends again with Shannen). It’s too interesting to me that now, many years later after “Charmed”, the ladies are still incredibly beautiful & look more like Witches than ever before 😱❤️ Also, it’s heartbreaking to hear that many of the issues that were going on behind the scenes were caused by one person.
This is so sad. I grew up watch Charmed. I remember reading somewhere that Shannon just decided she was done being apart of the show and that she had always told Aaron Spelling (the creator) that she was not planning on being on the show for very long. Which at the time made sense to me, since she also left 90210, I think, too early. But now I'm wondering why she really left 90210? 🤔Its sad that she had to get sick in order to finally set the record straight and clear her name. i had the chance to meet shannen at the fanx convention here in salt lake city in september, but missed it due to work priorities. she ended up passing on my 22nd birthday. shannen was done so incredibly wrong throughout her career - i genuinely hope in her last days she understood how well loved she is by so many of us. shannen doherty forever.

I liked Pru's character best and Phoebe's character worst. I found Pheobe's character the most arrogant of the four. Seems Alyssa's character leaked through to the on screen character. Acting from so young and being among others of her age at that time, likely brought out her most entitlement, when her actual wisdom ran dry. None of us are at our best as ultra competitive. Competition prizes selfishness for success; it creates a you and a them and you're opperating at your most aggressive. That energy will bleed through every aspect of your life, including the character you play on screen.
I've always had a Luke warm feeling about Shannon, i never disliked her, she just wasnt my cup of tea, and I absolutely abhor Rose as a human, but when something keeps happening and the common denominator is one person, that really says something. Especially when it's visible through people you're not a fan of.

Stress can cause so many health issues, extreme stress over long periods of time can mess up your brain chemistry. Strive to be someone who doesn’t go out of their way to cause unnecessary stress. I get it, we all at times can feel stressed. But actively and repeatedly doing actions which negatively affect others is the lowest denominator.
All three might be lying-Shannon, Rose and Holly-against Alyssa. I have been in work situations (more than once), where it’s ALL women, where because I am a kind and quiet but a hard working person, the women were acting like a high school clique and ALL hated me. I didn’t do anything mean to them, I was just different from them in that I was/am a kind and honest person and that rubbed those women the wrong way because they themselves were not like that (in one instance, two of the woman tried to bully me, and another would stay after work and talk on the phone for hours to a friend in another department acting like she was working so she could get overtime-I never told on her though). People like that ALWAYS gravitate towards each other and will gang up on people who are not like them. Also, I grew up during the time of the original 90210 and Shannon Doherty was known for acting full of herself because she was on a famous show. In fact, years later Jason Priestley gave an interview once and talked about how when 90210 was a hit Shannon Doherty, was trying to convince him how now that they were famous they should take advantage of being famous; I remember specifically something about riding in limos, etc. Basically, the way he spoke about it, it was obvious Doherty was letting fame, at that time, go to her head.

Alyssa has practically admitted that she is at fault, she said that she was very competitive during that point in her life, which explains why she acted the way she did and even wrote a book called “sorry not sorry” and mentioned charmed experiences during this stone. Rose, Holly, & Shannon are definitely telling the truth, it’s pretty obvious regardless of what drama rose and Shannen have been if, Alyssa practically said her faults.
Oui elle a avoué avoir eu cette attitude, elle trouvait Shannon très bonne actrice et ne voulait pas être mise de côté. En soit elle a eu une haine contre elle par rapport à ça et c’est dommage. Alyssa est une très bonne actrice aussi mais elle a su comment virer Shannon puisqu’elle a menacé la production de porter plainte et donc de faire arrêter la série. Il était impossible finalement pour la production de se séparer de Alyssa. Ils devaient de base tuer Cole et Phoebe et finalement après la menace c’est Prue qui a dû partir. On sait aussi que Shannon a un fort caractère et c’est déjà battu à plusieurs reprises avant Charmed, donc ça a dû être une tension alimenter par les deux. Rose par contre étant plus discret a plus souffert de cette compétitivité à sens unique
Historically, when someone had a reputation for being “difficult” it was more often than not due to them not being willing to sacrifice their dignity/moral compass as easily as everyone else. Hollywood hates that in a person. I’ve got news for you. Chances are astronomically HIGH that your favorite celeb/person you’re defending (in this case Milano) did exactly that to get where they are. So by all means, if you want to accept and believe the 25 year old People magazine/US Weekly version of events then you simply can’t be helped.
one thing i don’t get - why did holly agree to work with alyssa for greys anatomy episode if there was so much tension? for the record i love all 4 women and i love charmed ..
What's to understand? That was her job. The writers probably wanted the two actresses specifically because it would thrill Charmed fans. No guest star makes those kind of choices of who to cast. If they have enough pull, they may be able to make a recommendation. I imagine Holly would take all the work she could get, since she wasn't famous, outside of a couple of series. If Holly turned down a guest spot for such a trivial reason, she'd be labeled 'difficult'. Don't let petty disagreements mess up your money.

My cousin went to Shannon's last con last year and got Rose, Hollie and- most importantly- Shannon's autographs. She said Shannon was so sweet and so very humble and honoured to find out that Prue was my cousin's favourite character.
