Adam Granger I'm so sorry for your loss. My wife lost her mother to cancer in 2009, Christmas day--and you're right, it IS horrific. People need to be aware of what's going on in their bodies and be proactive. (Not saying to be paranoid, just be up on check-ups, etc.) My own mother just went through a cancer scare herself, and fortunately she's doing all right--but man, the day that cancer is completely eradicated (and NO ONE suffers from it anymore) will be such a great day. My best to you and your family.
I know this comment is really old but I felt I should post a reply to your comment. I'm very sorry for your loss losing your mother is awful the pain never really goes away. My mother had cancer as well and I saw her suffer for years until it finally took her. You never stop missing her either so I understand completely I hate cancer!! I hope I don't get it too but it's a higher risk if one of your parents had it. But I am truly sorry for your loss

I am a survivor myself and I was fortunate to respond very well to the Chemo and was able to push thru with the love of my life, who supported me 100%. I believe it all has to do with your state of mind. I was newly in love when I received the terrible cancer news. So I decided for myself - THIS WILL NOT HOLD ME DOWN. I believe, that is the key to a successfully therapy besides early detection of the tumor. Positive energy and luck, luck, luck. If you are watching this now and have an estrogen based invasive cancer-please get surgery and do the chemo and radiation right way, don’t wait -and take the inhibitor pill for 7 years after so the cancer does not come back.
That is very positive news: medicine is constantly changing. Due to the constant work of researchers and oncologists and the bravery of those suffering from breast cancer and taking trial meds and therapy, there has been advances and improvements. I pray for a cure one day...to end this suffering. Shannen, you are in my prayers!

But, I do not have a big choice--have to go where my medicare/advantage plans says to go. I just hate it that I have been pretty healthy and then later in life I have to struggle with this?! And now worry about money, too. Such is life for some of us. God bless
you were smart to listen to your gut. my dad wasnt lucky and im devastated. they waited too long with him and now it spread to the liver so surgery was cancelled and now its a matter of time. heartbroken....i do love you though shannen and u are always inspiring. i still watch 90210!!!! so happy u are ok.

I was Diagnosed with breast cancer and the treatment is going on but there is apart of me doubting because of little information about my treatment plan..I am looking for a test every treatment I had if it is responding positively or not..I hope you can help me enlighten what to do in this struggle..Thanks a lot.

i lost a couple of friend from cancer....was really shock cause i haven seen her for so long and when we get the chance to get together she ask me to go and see her doctor for her last check up ...she told me she was cleared...we went to her doctor and her doctor even congratulate her for surviving it...was realky happy. but then the unexpected happen,i was told that she passed away cause i haven seen her after the check up...its a puzzle to me until now...why she was taken away after they said shes already cleared.

To wait a year for surgery is horrifying!!!!! I had to wait 2 moths & it was torture!!!! Shannon did the right thing getting a new dr!!!!!!!! You can’t go a year with tumors in your body!!!!!
What’s the name of that doctor? My mom battled with cancer pretty much my whole life. Not just breast cancer which she had when she was 27. Long before by brother, sister, and I were born. I’ve been told that although I don’t have the breast cancer gene, my life chances of getting cancer are 31%.

TB is still with us, just most of us immunized as children, check the stats for tb deaths.... and in awhile, all those “antivaccers” children are probably gonna get sick, maybe not with tb, could be mumps, rubella(the Helen Keller disease) or anything else their neglectful parents didn’t let them get protected from as children....they’re the ones who will bury them. Shannen Doherty was famous in BH 90210 and the whole cast hated her because they said she was so catty, and demanding. She did a couple of TV shows and she was famous for Heathers, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun The Movie, and now the cast members love her b/c she is dying of Breast Cancer. A lot of women have breast cancer. Its not easy to live like that!

So, it's just nasty gossip that the entire cast didn't get along with Shannen when it was just some of them. Shannon is still THE boss babe. I’ve always admired her guts… she is beautiful and has only grown more so as she has shared with us the terrifying lows and her raw fear and pain while she has battled this @#@#ing disease. I hope she beats this beast. 💋

medical gaslighting is coz some drs are complacent.. lets say the lab results were normal and see your fine even though your experiencing lots of symptoms internally..
I wish everyone had access to great medical care like the rich and famous. Unfortunately, so many get overlooked by great physicians and specialist simply because their bank balances dont play along. Really not cool hey.
she should think about removing her other breast, since she already had it in one and it spread to her lymph glands there is a chance that it could get to her other breast in the future. My friend got detected in her first mammography, they told her they needed to remove her breast so before the surgery they did a couple more tests done to see how she was evolving and they found cancer in her other breast, in a matter of weeks, she didn't have cancer in her left breast before but by the time she was ready for the first surgery it had develop and big time. It's better to prevent this from happening because once you have gone thru the treatment your body becomes resistant to treatment and it becomes harder to fight
This is terrible advice. The first treatment you get for cancer Is your best shot. Changing therapies once you start greatly decreases your chances of survival.
I am disappointed that Netflix allows the F-word to be aired! Come on, man, have a sense of decency and self-censorship like all the other TV networks - ABC, NBC, etc! Norhing strange about it at all. It's called being conscientious - both men & women get breast cancer. To make MORE of it than that is called an overreaction and if you're referring to Shannen as a she|he? My advice would be to stay away from disinfo.
