Terry Nutall ok? Doesn’t mean he reached it or was even close. Kobe literally modeled his game, the way he talked, mindset, killer instinct after Jordan. Lebron is nothing like him. Lebron tried to create his own legacy that surpassed Jordan and has failed and with all the losses and bad moments can’t catch him.

No comparison indeed, two different type of players. Michael is a pure scorer who cannot be stopped and LeBron is more of a facilitator. I'm 38 and was fortunate enough to live in Chicago during Mike's first few seasons. Yes I actually watched games when I was 5. My pops use to sit right behind the Bulls bench at the Old Chicago Stadium. My whole family is basically from Chicago even though I'm from Houston. I'm going MJ all day. Now if someone says Kareem, I will not argue. I didn't really see him play. If someone who never saw Mike says LeBron, I won't argue that either. I've been fortunate enough to witness Mike, Kobe and LeBron's careers. Kobe is my favorite player of all time but to me, Mike is the GOAT.

Louis Banks my guy lebron never beat, never faced anyone as lethal as the Celtics or pistons that Jordan faced. In 07 he was swept as soon as he saw a dangerous western team. In 2011 he couldn’t beat a one man team in Dallas. He couldn’t make it to the finals to meet Kobe. Not Jordan and lebron were similar in that way. In the way that they weren’t dropped into a loaded team. Difference is Jordan built upon what was given to him. Lebron fled and joined a champion and fmvp in wade and a month later received another team leader in bosh then was sorrounded by a loaded supporting cast.

Louis smh, jordan didnt play with another all start until his 6th or 7th season. Lakers was an all time great time it had 3 top 50 all time Celtics 3 top 50 all time greats an so on. The east was a more difficult division during jordan era with so many all time great players unlike in lebron era. Jordan played in an era of hand checking an hard fouls unlike this soft era. Jordan wasnt chasing a ghost because he was in his own lane. Jordan gambled an smoked before every game an still dominated making it look easy. Lebron spends $2m a year on his nutrition to help him maintain. Jordan retired twice in his thirties an came back an was still the best player in the NBA. Let lebron retire for two years now an come back to see if he will be the best player in the nba an lead a team to the title. Lebron top 3 but he not the goat.

March 11, 2020 was the last day that I’ve watched tv.. and the last thing I watched was the Mavs vs Nuggets game...it hasn’t been on since then. I’ve either been on RU-vid or Netflix. The kinds of players that we have seen in the last 15yrs Changed almost every position from Dirk (he played like a wing) to KD to Harden to Steph ! Pippen was probably the strongest wing player besides Jordan in that Era!!! So Jordan was definitely ahead and he was fortunate enough to have played along side probably his most formidable defensive opponent!!! MJ is GOAT, but Lebron's career is definitely not over so we will see when it is all said and done

Kendrick Smith I don’t know about him being a “regular player”.... He would still be great... But he definitely would not dominate these bigger stronger faster quicker more skilled more athletic players in the modern day era like he did them wings and guards from his era. Put this into perspective Lebron plays at the same weight and height as Karl Malone played.... Ever hear Phil Jackson tell Michael Jordan to go out there and guard Karl Malone one on one?.... I don't see how he's a better overall basketball player. He can't score as easily, he's less offensively versatile, not as good of an on-ball defender, and he is a below average free throw shooter. So he racks up about 1.5 more assists per season (MJ is an underrated passer though) and averages more rebounds. I just have never understood this argument. I've been watching a lot of old Bulls games on RU-vid lately and, my god, MJ was just on a different level. And no disrespect to LeBron he's a top 5 player of all time for sure.

Here's the thing. The big fact that needs to be said is you cant argue anyone from MJs era that can go against him because he literally denied everyone a championship when playing. You cant say that about Lebron or Kobe. Lebron didnt deny the other titans in his era because KD has 2 championships and Steph has championships. So you can argue who's the greatest ball player of this era. Kobe never denied championships either because D.Wade and Dirk, and Tim Duncan were all eating in the so called Kobe era. Nobody ate in the Jorsan era. Charles Barkley, Pat Ewing, Karl Malone, John Stockton, etc were all denied by Jordan. That's the difference.

Taurean Depp did Jordan get out of the first round without Pippen? If we are talking about finals records, neither Lebron or Jordan comes close to Russell. Jordan never faced a team like the warriors or the spurs. I’m not saying that at their peaks that lebron was better than Jordan, but in totality, lebron has a greater value to his teams and a greater career value.

Taurean Depp that wasn’t the point I made though. I firmly believe that MJs peak was much higher than lebrons. Your argument furthers my point, lebron never reached the height that MJs did. But lebron did push golden state to their limits when his second best player was Dellavedova. He did go to 8 straight finals. He did drag the cavs who had no business being in the playoffs in his first stint there. I’m not making the argument the either lebron or Jordan was the greatest. I’m arguing the Jordan had a higher peak and James had a more valuable career. It’s up to you to decide what is more valuable in the GOAT debate

In the 1989 season Jordan averaged 32.8, 8 assists, and 8 rebounds, 2.9 steals and almost 1 block per game. Lebron HAS NEVER HAD A STAT LINE LIKE THAT IN NBA HISTORY!!! Magic had 19 pts , 11 ast and 10 reb...Jordan had 36 pts, 12 ast and 8 rebs and 3 stls. The Bulls lost by 2 points because MJ missed the game-tying shot. The next game they slowed Magic down by putting Pippen on him but Jordan and Pippen took turns guarding Magic for that entire series and Jordan was guarding Magic more than Pippen. The Bulls won the next 4 (3 blowouts and the last game they won by 7)...stop with the over exaggeration.
