I wish the sirens could've talked and had personalities/motivations in this game. Making them silent seemed like a wasted opportunity to give someone besides Risky the villain's spotlight.
Watching this honestly makes me hope they evolve the series a bit with the next game. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed all the games so far, but the more we see of these environments, and how detailed they are making them, the more I'd like to see something new with the gameplay, like a 3D platformer, or an RPG or something. Not saying as a permanent genre change, but just a side thing.

When I see the cutscenes from this game, it makes me wonder why we don't have an anime or a Shantae cartoon, seriously, it's so beautiful and so charismatic. I started playing Shantae through Pirate's Curse and now I'm playing Seven Sirens, and the more I play, the more I fall in love with Shantae, think of a character who wins you over in less than 10 or 5 minutes. I simply love characters like this who are a bit silly, but have a strong personality, in a simple way, it's the same feeling I had when I met Sonic.

Came here because a friend mentioned a character I created seemed similar to Shantae. After watching some of this, I guess I can see it. Though I don't really know this series at all so.... Weird coincidence?
Shantae was Voiced by Cristina Vee who also voiced Ying From Paladins and Compa from Hyperdimension Neptunia. How amazed since I played Paladins back in 2020, I was endorsed playing the support champion which they’re illusions.
love Shantae. Wish they would do an anime series about her. I got a list of new villains she would face, that I made up: the Robber Baron, Captain Flintheart, Sinestra, Professor Mystery, Hexallin, Bezull, Sweetney Desiree, Team Trouble, Lluelyn, Empress Jackboot, the Plunder's Guild, Grimus, the Freak, Jabazar and the Dominator's Collective. i don't think it will be a good idea the only one i know that is 3d is the final boss of half genie hero. and it fits very well. but at the end of the day. it still some serious improvement to be true
If shantae were to have an anime adaptation The 1st season would follow the events of the first shantae game The 2nd season would follow the events of shantae riskey's revenge The 3rd season would follow the events of shantae and the pirates curse The 4th season would follow the events of shantae half genie hero And the 5th season would follow the events of shantae and the seven sirens And that is my vision of the perfect shantae anime
Let's be real. Originally, Shantae was made for well, girls, to get them into the whole gaming aspect, and having a strong female protag and strong female antag. She got more popular along the way, then well, WayForward decided to roll with it since she was attracting both a male and female audience, doing a bit of fan service for the male audience (female audience too in some cases) which is what lead to things like the egyptian outfit, Giga Mermaid, a couple of these Sirens, and the fact the intro wastes no time in doing an upclose of her hips and then her chest. They full well know what they're doing, even jab at themselves for it in the games, one line being "My mom says I'm not supposed to look at you when you dance" or something close to that, which is the devs way of poking fun at the fact they know Shantae is highly over sexualized, by themselves. I mean, cmon, a belly dancing genie that wears next to nothing, and the rest of the female characters dress similarly (meaning they wear next to nothing)? They know exactly what they're doing.

As you guys know, the animator of the opening intro of Shantae and the Seven Sirens (2019-2022, WayForward Technologies) is TRIGGER Animation Studios (aka Studio TRIGGER in Japan.)
They went to all the trouble of animating everything in 2d, and having good voice acting with voices that fit the characters, and yet we still don't have a Shaunte Netflix original series, WTF.

14 more minutes of animation and you have an entire episode, just some stuff in between what we already have. there are 13 segments and 1 & 13 are intro outro that dont need to be longer or shorter.
I agree with the idea, but I'd say that WayForward should do what they've always done and partner with a *Japanese* studio to make it; I mean He'll, they had Studio TRIGGER make that opening there, and considering their track record, I'd say Studio TRIGGER would be the *best* studio for WayForward to partner with to make a Shantae anime.
This show go with the more Mao Mao Heroes of pure heart like vibe art style where it has the anime like drawing but with more Saturday morning cartoon like style
