Greatest funeral doom band, hands down. Bought Angel's of distress in 2003 on a whim and fell in love with it. Ended up getting their other albums as well. Love all of them especially AoD and Monotony Fields. Beautiful music.

I have been listening to Shape od Despair's Album/CD 'Return to the Void' a lot lately. This is some of my favorite Finnish doom metal I have heard in a long time. I love it when a band like this can pull it off LIVE (i.e., maintain the same sound or even Better!) This is an awesome video/song. Brilliant!

@@nullbuilt3267 Try Clouds, Deos, Tempestuous Fall, Colosseum, Eye of Solitude, 1000 Funerals, Aeternum Sacris, HellLight... Ankhagram's Neverending Sorrow album is almost a tribute to Shape of Despair. Remembrance's Frail Visions is awesome, their later work not that great. Check also Swallow the Sun's Songs from the North III , though they're more of a melodic Death Doom band, this album is an amazing Funeral Doom album.

My favorites sinds years. I should want to see in The Netherlands. I am just only 68 a a "" young" pensionade. Love it. But . a visiuable keyboard player would be nice. The femeale singer must Never leave. Even there are better singing lady's. (especially here in Holland) Love them so much

seems kind of boring to be the lead signer & giving too much time to the instrumental musicians as u stay in front waiting, waiting & waiting for your cue.
