The edges and center ridge are 3mm thick. The surfaces are 1mm thick, and the recessed hex pattern is .5mm thick. There is a photo in the video description with a back lit shot of the part.
Yep, it's really, really strong. A piece finally broke off after a hard crash (this was part of a RC helicopter chassis) but it took quite a beating for such a delicate part. I added an image link to the video description to show how thin it is in some places.
cool! i wanted to order a figure, but the sandstone versions are so fragile! i want it to be able to accidentally fall without the thin parts on the edges shattering into pieces :P
