People need to understand that those guys could definitely break the backboard if they were on the same rim as Shaq. The rims nowadays are reinforced and way stronger
No bro you need to understand that old school basketball is most definitely better cause I need to validate my enjoyment of the old basketball heads by putting other eras down
No they had breakaway in the late 80s. The change was made in the late 90s where the rim was actually connected from the frame completely disconnected from the backboard. That's why old school rims have the spread out brackets and the new ones have an additional beefy central one. It's actually impossible to shatter one now. They dropped a grand piano on the new design and the rim warped and the frame snapped but the backboard was perfect.
That complete tear-off in the gym against Ahmad Rashad is the best imo he's ever done😎 just gotta love Ahmad looking at him laying on the floor glass all over him saying "That all you got?" 🤣🤣🤣
Wrong, you do know back in the days the rules were significantly different than how it is now ? If NBA players from now played how they are playing back then, a lot of those plays would be illegal
You know that due to Shaq strength plus him breaking backboards they had to build stronger ones to ensure that there was no weak spot and that’s why players now won’t even come close to breaking them because of money and time spent in making it
Shaq is and was a monster in the paint. If Shaq is running towards me to dunk on me I’m diving out of the way! Great video! Keep up the great and hard work!
bro i get mad at these vids cuz he wasn’t even the first person in the NBA to break a backboard. darryl dawkins was the first and no one talks about him
