ROE no. Heavily impacted by the leverage (loan) of the company. Company can show very high ROE no by taking loan in that case denominator reduces significantly. Which misleads investor who doesn't have finance knowledge. So ROCE no will give better understanding of financial well being of company. Which include all capital employed from debt & equity.

One thing, the denominator isn't reduced in ROE, which is shareholder's equity when you take leverage, just the amount of net income generated increase because you use extra capital to generate such income

Taking leverage is not bad. You can look set debt to equity to see how much has been taken. ROE covers the whole picture for the investor. ROCE is good for the operator to see efficiency

Basant Sir, Pranam - I am Yogish a big fan of your videos. To mobilize funding to NANI - FM will target the creamy layer of society - STOCK MARKET. In the Budget LTCG profit tax @ 20% STCG profit @ 25% and F&O profit @ 30% at flat rate + no set off of F&O losses. If this happens same people who are now in FOMO of missing the rally will be desperate to get out of stocks. You will wonder where has all the liquidity investors were talking so far, suddenly vanished. Banks, NBFC and brokers who gave unsecured loans will be in deep trouble.

Short term tading ke liye stocks ko promote karna chahiye STT and other taxes on buying shares ko kum karna chahiye. No need to change capital gains tax Then People will trade in stocks more and not buy options. They could hold their position if stock is good and not book loss immediately.

Hello Sir, I have a question related to Income Tax. In Zeroda & AngleOne Tax P&Lis showing profit/Loss will be a Taxable about but It should be net profit/Loss right? Suppose: Profile after selling a stock: 200 Total charges(STT + Others): 5 Net profit : 195 So I should pay tax on 195 rather 200 right? Sir, banks see worst deposit crunch in 20 years, In FY2024 deposits grew @ 13.5 % while non food credit grew @20.2 % .At 80% the credit deposit ratio is highest since 2005, lots of investors are preferring mutual funds, stocks instead of Fd, Rds . Hello sir Antariksh here, I have invested 5 lakhs in 2022 as a trial run, and now it has grown into 7+ lakhs means 40% returns, by investing In ETFs only. Now as a full-time investment strategy, I want to invest 25 lakhs more, and strategy is 70% in ETFs and 20% in Midcaps, and out of remaining 10% , 5% in Smallcaps and 5% in Fundamentally strong Penny stocks. Sir... one query on ROE...we take this on the value of the equity (matched by book value of assets). Good companies would show RoE in excess of 20% . But if we convert the book value of assets into market value , the RoE will fall. This is what you suggest all business owners to match their returns with market value of assets - factories, shops etc . Should we not do this for all listed companies ?

Hi Basant, It isn't necessarily true that one should always want a stock to keep going down as one plans to invest in it periodically. If one has managed to catch a multibagger, and his calculations tell him there is still a long way to go, then he wants the stock to keep going up, so that he can keep averaging up and make a fortune. I have invested 50L in her fund and my investment hypothesis are: small caps to large cap ratio is at all time lows(profits wise and share price wise)in the US and mean reversion is bound to happen from here, companies in her portfolio like Tesla,palantir,Roku,ui path are on the path of bringing truly disruptive innovation, interest rate cuts would enable funds to flow in US small caps and emerging markets so even if her philosophy would be wrong this will act as a tactical call.
