This didn't help me. I have an excel file in my onedrive. That one drive file exists on my hard drive in a one drive folder. The idea of onedrive is that a copy of the file also exists in the cloud so I can access the file on different devices. That cloud is a sharepoint site. What do you call the sharepoint site that syncs with your one drive files? Sharepoint is not a good name because it is already used to describe things not associated to one drive, as in this video. I will call it onesharepoint for now. When the one drive file is not saved to onesharepoint how do you trouble shoot it? If you google for sync sharepoint or sync one drive you have know idea if they are talking about onesharepoint. I dont think they are. This is actually a big issue because I have a 2nd excel file that links to the one on my one drive. However, when you link to a file in your one drive it actually links to the copy on onesharepoint. So if the one drive is not saving the file changes to onesharepoint, the file that links to it has bad data. So how do you force the one drive file to be saved to the onesharepoint?

One drive is basically just a subsite of SharePoint with a Document Library. But to answer your question if you are using the OneDrive local sync. then you can see the files that are stalled in syncing in the local OneDrive by right clicking on the OneDrive icon in your system tray. If you are using OneDrive for Business the icon is Blue if you are using OneDrive personal then i think the icon is white. I don't use the personal one so I cannot talk about it that much. First of all allow me to thank you alot for this helpfull and informative videos. Also it is a big loss for all of us to see that you are not uploading for more than 2 years new videos. Is your company still working so that we can contact you for a service to buy and train us for microsoft 365 business since we were using office family to run our business. We had zero experiance in everything. Now we build a strong foundation on microsoft 365 and would like to benefit from it

There are tons of confusion regarding SharePoint, SharePoint Sites and OneDrive. specially when you combine with the PowerApps and PowerAutomate, connections work here but not there. Data from one does not show in the other when searching. Keep making this videos! There are people like me counting on you!

I think under the hood Onedrive IS Sharepoint.

Yes.... basically. It is part of SharePoint. the domain is your domain-my.sharepoint.com/personal...so yes it is SharePoint. Sort of like a micro site. This is a very GENERAL observation though.
