We bring you one of our favourite cruise hacks, that let's you split your cabin up into different spaces in no time at all! This is great for people traveling with children or friends, as it allows additional privacy inside the cabin plus let's those of your party who are awake move around without disturbing anyone who is sleeping 😊 What do you think? What is your favourite cruise hack? Let us know in the comments 😀
@@cbl3608 Thanks for your comment and quetsion 😊 We used 15 for this particular curtain, but it will depend on the size of curtain you buy. We have a pack of 18 hooks so had a few spare to use around the cabin - they are so useful 😀
Thanks Emma 😍 it's been a huge help when sailing with our daughter, and might also be something for people in a deck 8 balcony on Iona (with the controversial promenade deck view). Of course this works in any cruise ship, we just happen to have filmed it while on Iona 😀
Thanks Angela so glad you enjoyed the video and like our little cruise hack 😊 It just came to us when we were planning our first cruise with our daughter when she was 6 months old, and were trying to work out how we could get her to nap whilst also being able to use our cabin 😊 Hoepfully it is helpful to other people too 😀
This is awesome! We’ll be setting sail on the Iona next month with our little one! Definitely going to add a shower curtain to our shopping list! Are the hooks on the ceiling standard in most cabins ? We will be in a standard balcony room!
Thanks for the lovely comment, we are so glad you enjoyed the video and like our cruise hack 🤩 The hooks don't come with the cabin - they are magnetic ones that we bought from Amazon. They cost us under £20 and are so useful! For the curtain to work you will need to buy some, but they are so useful you won't regret it 😀 Where are you sailing on Iona?
Thanks for watching and for your question, we really appreciate it 😊 All cruise ship cabins have magnetic walls and ceilings, however some lines are starting to ban the use of magnetic hooks (we know that Carnival recently accounted a ban). It's also essential to ensure that, if your line does allow you to use the hooks, you are not obstructing the smoke detector, sprinkler system, or any other safety equipment. We hope that helps 😊
Hey, thanks for the video. We are sailing with our daughter in May! Quick question for the bed did you request a cot bed for her and they automatically converted the sofa bed with a rail or did you just request a safety rail?
Thanks for the lovely comment, we are glad you liked the video 😊 Thats really exciting 😀 where are you cruising to? We asked for a bed guard instead of a cot, however they can put a cot in your cabin if you need one. We booked with P&O directly and so phoned them to request the bed guard, but anyone booking through a travel agent can speak to them and they will sort it 😊 Also, if you get on board and find there isn't a cot/bed guard you can tell your cabin steward and they will get one for you 😊 Have a wonderful cruise 😊
Thanks for watching and for your comment - our shower curtain is 2.4m x 2m (or 96 inches x 78 inches) 😊 We find it big enough for what we need, while also not being so big that it takes up too much suitcase space. We hope that helps 😃
Hello, I have also found your video useful - thank you. Can I ask in relation to the 2.4m x 2m, which is length and which is width? Thanks again - we will be trying this
Hi@@LauraG-il6rh - thankyou so much for watching and for your kind comment 😊 We are so glad you found our video useful! Our curtain is 2.4m wide and 2m high (floor to ceiling). We've found it big enough for a travel cot as well as for a single bed down one side and along the end (enough to screen the bed from the rest of the cabin). We hope that helps - let us know if you have any more questions, and we'd love to hear how it goes when you try it out yourself 😊
