No UK police officer has ever been convicted for the wrongful killing of a civilian yet 200-500 civilians have died in police custody or as a direct result of police intervention EG tazers/batons/shootings. A disproptionate number of those are bkack british or another ethnic minority Sure there have been trials and inquiries but no officer have ever received anything more than a telling off, every death has been justified in the eyes of the law. There was eye witnesses there when they shot Mark Duggan and they try to cover it by planting a gun and people saw all of it and the court justified the shooting anyway. Certain police forces in the UK are still stuck in the days of the 80's where they could slam people in the back of the paddy wagon and beat the living shit out of them with no repercussion. That used to be a reality for people across all ethnic minorities but especially black and Irish (hence the name paddy wagon) . Roughly 5% of UK officers have been implicated in corruption with their being notable high profile cases in most major cities. The Independent Police Commission is mostly compromised of former officers who allow officers under investigation to communicate (and thereby get the story straightened out) before and after questioning. Combine this with the fact that specialist firearms officers know there has been a officer convicted for shooting someone. Imagine you meet your pal jump in your mates car when suddenly undercover cars ram you to a halt from three directions and an officer leans over and blasts your brains out with a shotgun. True story happened in London in 2014. Wrong place, wrong time . The police claimed he was taking aim with a pistol. Yet it was found under the front seat of the car. It's nothing on America but you know like a lot of the old British instutions, the traditional elements want to run it like a boys club, purely for their own benefit of their own ranks. Certain police forces are run like the Freemasons. It's the same outrageous systematic injustice just on a smaller scale.

I think this is a good basis that we can introduce the UK scene to the US, artists like Lowkey and Akala that produce raps on problems that are universal. That way they have something to relate to and see that the UK isn't that different from the US. Keep up the good work bro! :)
