I've just made my first Myositis in ax See Haley Jane double gauze . First dress after chemo and I love it. I put an invisible zip on the side Sean which was quite the Argentina but I've worked out how to do that more result. I could put in a simple zip centred behind the seam but I prefer the invisible zip. I've just ordered some Robert Kaufman Memory flannel to make a winter one. I backed the bust dart off 1cm

Great pattern review. I am so glad to see someone else using snaps...I absolutely love snaps. I use them all the time and I think they add a nice pop of color and they are so fast to put in. All your dresses are so pretty and you look fabulous in them. Thanks for sharing.

I was scared of the Buttonhole. I used my Bernina 880 for buttonholes for the first time. Omg. So so simple

I've made two so far one of them I used two different fabrics the top half was a colourful flower pattern and i chose the skirt in a plain colour I matched it with one of the colour from the flowers fabric and the sleeves matched the skirt keep up the vlog I am silently in the back ground watching all of your videos always a great job you do and I always remember to click the thumbs up.

Thank you so much for your offer and indeed if you lived in Northern Ireland I’d probably take up your offer. Don’t get me wrong my dress looks lovely for a bigger size- my husband suggested I take it apart 🙈. I did take it in 2 inches as far as I could but still massive. I used cotton double gauze which may have stretched. I think next time I’ll use stable cotton and go down one size. I also used the no collar method you suggested by another sewer which looks great.

I REALLY, Really, really enjoyed this video! I think more RU-vidrs should share a video of just their favorite pattern(s)...especially, to share the less obvious reasons why they love it (like your digestive issues and your changing bustline). And I think so many of us newer sew-ers think we need to make different patterns to get different looks, rather than sticking with a tried-n-true pattern and changing up the fabrication, adding hacks, and mixing up the pattern pieces (I certainly didn't think of it...now I want SO MUCH to do this). Plus, by sticking with the one pattern, one can save money and get really good at that pattern, and like you said, always reach for it in one's closet. Thank you for this video...do you have any more patterns that you've sewn up as often? I'd love to see your other tried-n-trues. I'm still pretty new to sewing and have only sewn two patterns more than once (Simplicity 1504, making my sons and nieces matching Christmas pajamas is going into its third year of being a tradition; and I made a wearable muslin for McCalls 7687 before making a different view out of my fashion fabric). But I think my first ever tried-n-true, to be made in all the views, with many fabrications will be #ClosetCorePatterns #pietrapants...I made the shorts, view C, in a lovely linen; and I just can't stop wearing them. I have plans to make the cropped wide-leg trouser, view A cropped, in a striped rayon twill (fabric already bought), and I want another pair of shorts in a denim (with a lighter weight chambray or something for the back waistband), and I'm curious to see if the tapered trouser, view B will look as good on my body as the shorts and cropped versions. I'm getting excited just commenting about it. (p.s. sorry for the long-winded comment) Thanks, again, for this video!

After looking at all your lovely myosotis dresses I made one. Mine is awful! Huge! Even though I made the size for my measurements. I’ve no idea how many sizes I should go down as I would still love one

All of your dresses are lovely but my favourite is the white and navy striped one. I like the snaps idea. Are they hard to use and what brand would you recommend? As for IBS, I feel for you as I also have it. I know people often recommend things that help but in my experience there’s nothing that stops it permanently and no easy way out. I would highly recommend that you listen to The Gut Loving Podcast. It’s hosted by Laura Tilt, a registered dietitian in the UK with a special interest in gut health. I thought I knew a lot about IBS but her podcast has been really helpful. I recommend listening from the beginning but season three is good as she interviews different people that are either experts in the subject or suffer from it. It makes me feel better knowing that I’m not alone, especially when I have a flare up. I’m loving your videos and i hope you reach 2k subscribers soon. It’s well deserved.

Lovely selection of dresses! Good idea with using the snaps, I wouldn't have thought of that. My machine only has 4-step buttonholes and I'm afraid 😬 Did I spy some Lady McElroy single ladies fabric in the background? I just got some too so would be interested to see what your plans are for it. Looking forward to your fabric video. I think learning about fabric has been a surprise steep learning curve in my sewing journey. Trying to make a dress with the wrong fabric is like trying to make a cake with the wrong ingredients, it's just not going to turn out right. Keep up the good work and enjoy the holidays! 😀

This is a thorough and detailed review of the myosotis dress. I would love to make this dress. Do you think it is ok for a beginner? I love the dress you are wearing, it's so pretty. I also love that you made the bodice area longer (i think i would do that too).

Your hair suits you. Are there any other patterns that are written for drapier fabric that you like to make in poplin? I tend to buy lots of poplin as it comes in all the fun prints and is comparatively affordable. My go to is Simplicity 1887 - comfy loose fitting trousers with nice big pockets!

I made a toile first and with both that and my dress the collar piece was not long enough .
