Kristen ~ I'm a little late to the party on this one, lol! I have been binge watching you all weekend! Your makeup here is so beautiful! I adore these "favs" videos you do and this one was especially good! I love so many of the tops you featured here. I will be adding to my pattern and fabric collection with recommendations here! Thanks for all you do for us and have a wonderful evening!
I love all your makes, a great range and really nice to see you model them. Great to see the same pattern in different fabrics. You make a wonderful Jeannie . I hope you and your family are all surviving your lock down and curfew hours. Stay safe and let’s hope a solution is found for the whole COVID-19 virus, and quickly. ❤️
You always make such beautiful clothes and you don’t disappoint with your tops. I have some of the patterns you are showing and I haven’t made them up. I need to make these patterns up and not be afraid to see what they will look like on me. Thank🎉 you for making these patterns up and letting me see them on a real humane person.
Like ususally a great choice of pattern and fabric ! Yes it s important for us « real woman » to see this pattern on an another « real « woman ..we have the same mensurations and the same age ! And you ve been such an inspiration for me ..! Thanks !!! 😊😊😊
Love this video and oh my goodness so many gorgeous tops! Here in uk we need these sort of clothes at the moment and I’m now considering making lots if not all of these! So good to see what they look like on the body. Thank you 😊
This was brilliant! Thank you so much for sharing these tops - all really suit you too, especially the fringe (which I'm now going to buy, along with the Cielo). My favourite top pattern this year is the Ashton. I've hacked it into a dress already and it works very well, in a midi length.
Great range of tops, love your choices. My favourite is the Grainline Studio willow tank, I’ve made it twice normal length, a cropped version and the dress. They have a gathered skirt dress hack on the website as well. It’s great when you find something and make several versions from one pattern in different fabrics. I have the Hadley so tempted after seeing yours to make one. 😊
Those tops are awesome! Love the fringe top. I must make it. 5 months to summer, I hope to be as small as you then! I’m still at about a 20 and was out at Spotlight today getting summer top/dress patterns. I thought I had lots of time to look through the new pattern books and fabrics. ( no one waiting in the car for me for a change) came out of Spotlight and had a $70 parking fine! For being too long in the store. Shouldn’t have gone looking at curtains. 20 years I’ve shopped there and have never seen a sign. So, needless to say my longtime relationship with Spotlight is over. So great to know there are many online pattern companies, and fabric companies I can support! Thanks, Kristin! ( btw love Jeannie. It’s been very recent I’ve dug out the old DVD series and watched them with my teenage daughter , who is now a fan too!
Thank you for sharing these beautiful makes. I appreciate your thorough reviews, including the type of fabric you used, size you made, details on construction. It would be helpful for you to include in the description box the pattern companies and pattern names. Or include links, even better! Would you say most of these are beginner friendly? I'm new to all of this and one thing I'm looking for is a sleeve that doesn't set in. I could tell on some, especially when you put up the line drawings. Thank you for modeling these lovely tops. I'm in the process of making the Fern top by Pattern Scout in a linen. I'm so excited!
The v neck shirts are really slimming on you. I’m really a fan of it. I’m incorporating the small v with a more organic look, not the sharp triangle v’s that I do not care. Well done.
I love tops with a yoke and gathering above the bust. I'm not a huge fan of the high-low style though, my bust is so large I already get that effect with a regular hem lol.
Thank you for doing the woven tops. I'm trying to get away from wearing either short sleeved or long sleeved the shirts depending on the weather. I love the tops with the grown on sleeve and a cuff. I love repurposing thrifted clothes. I have been using extra large scarves to make summer tops.
So thankful for videos like this-I appreciate the reviews that you give each pattern. I also love repurposed fabrics from vintage clothing:). I made the Strata Top from Sew Liberated this spring and used her Sew Along that she posted.
Great video. I have a similar shape to you so thanks for doing this review. I have some these patterns in my collection so will have a go at them. Thanks again V xxx
A great round up. I'm Melburnian so am loving planning ahead. I like how I own some but not all so lots of inspiration. You did mention some of the sizes you made in each top. Is it possible to list them next to the pattern name in the description? Along with your measurements it gives such a help, I can tend to err on the side of too large. Your makes look spot on. Looking forward to the next round up!
Hi Kristen. We are so lucky to be able to sew so many clothes. Your Tops are beautyfull and it gives me some ideas. Thank you. I have a great news to tell you. I have got my plane ticket to fly in Sénégal and be able to join Hubby 😃. We are both so happy. I'll travel on 27th of july. Thank you for your support 💟
Love all of these patterns now to get the courage on how to print them.. will I have enough ink. Ummmmm love your choices of materials. And that picture on your wall is cool thank you again ❤️
I really enjoyed this video that you did on tops for summer. There are many of these that I’m going to get to make tops for summer. We are going into summer here in Vegreville, Alberta, 🇨🇦. Thank you for your putting together this video. All the work you put into doing this video. Is there anywhere I can go to find more of your videos? I look forward to your next video. Carol
Am absolutely loving your videos. I am a size larger than you, and I love seeing, approximately, how a garment would look on me. However, I wonder if we, the commenters, can maybe agree that there is nothing less “real” about a smaller body? I keep seeing “real women” thrown around in the comments section and it feels unfriendly to our smaller sisters. I’d love it if they were made to feel welcome, too. All bodies are perfect as they are.💚
Hi, great video, actually working on a Cielo today. I have been away for awhile and have so many vlogs to catch up on. I noticed your Klimt's The Kiss picture and wanted to tell you that Emmaonesock.com has a dutch digital panel of the same print. The panel is a knit. Emmaonesock is an online fabric store out of Philadelphia PA. I love the fabrics. If you decide to give it a look, do a search for dutch digital and then scan through the thumbnails and you will see it. Thought that was pretty cool when I saw your print. Have a great day!
Great vlog as usual. I’m just about to make some summer tops so very interested. I’ve got a few of those patterns but haven’t sewn them up yet so onwards and upwards! Diana
