That is a fantastic price for all you get and the power it seems to have. I'll be looking that company up . Thank you for your videos I enjoy watching you
Great Review Steve - and the Harp is looking Fantastic!. Looks like Vevor has all the bases covered on that one - it always astounds me the price that they can manufacture an item for...... Bargain.
Hi Vince, yeah I was sceptical at first but it's a ripper. Just finishing off a project suing it and it worked fine. Happy with t he Harp too, still got some wrinkles to sort out and am looking forward to doing the Brass work and tuning the Tuning Pegs. Cheers Steve
I just bought one of these but I don’t understand how to install the included cutters. It seems the bits are too wide to fit the collet. Any help would be appreciated. TIA
Hi Steve - nice to see you back into the projects, the streaming was always catchup for us in the UK. Does the Vevor chip cutter mean we are going to see true Aussie battered chips, love em, and no raisin bread?
Hi Jonno, Nice for a change as well. Unfortunately the chips don't hang around long enough to get a shot of them. But they certainly are being made. :) Cheers Steve
Just wondering if you checked it for concentricity. That is, in the trimmer and plunge bases is the router bit a consistent distance from the edges where you run the router along a fence. I hate if it was a mm or two closer to one side than the other.
Hi Roy, Sorry to hear that, I guess I didn't think to ask but will amend it in the description. Thanks for letting me know. Trust you are well and in good spirits. Cheers Steve
Hi Steve, I also just bought one after seeing your review and the look of it looks great. Just a side question - were would I purchase Saw files is Australia ? Have done a google search and it seems as though I would have to buy from America. Do you know of anywhere in Aus.
Hi Stretton, Yes very happy with mine. Give Anthony a call at Lie Nielsen Aust. 0418-842-974 or email: anthony@lie-nielsen.com.au I have a set of his files and they are great. Say G'day to him from me too. Cheers Steve
Well, sorry that sometimes is the way, in this case it was to give a background on the use of and various routers available. Thanks for watching it anyway. Appreciate the feedback. Cheers Steve
A Bloke whose been around as long as you have should be able to size anything by eye up to 1 inch and lengths up to 2:feet to the nearest 1/16th. Reaching for a caliper and not a folding boxwood rule is an act of betrayal. Are you the Bloke who used to be on SBS tv in the early 1990s???? Stavros
Hi Steve, We were on TV, and still am in Vic and SA. As far as the act of betray, get the manufacturer's to give me that little tricky rule pocket in my work pants and I'll go back to it. :) Can still do the size by eye. Problem is I have to be able to see it first. lol Then the added error comes into play when we convert to 25mm widths 600mm lengths and 1.5mm thickness. All the while trying to remember if I let the chooks out and shut the front gate. The pressures of being an old guy! Love your comment by the way. Cheers Steve
