I bought the Vevor (with the plunge base I had accumulated a ton of 1/4" bits from the Avid purchase, yard sells, pawn shops, so the bits weren't needed ) It was exactly what I needed. if it gives up like the 60 day old Avid did, I'll just go buy a Makita 107 (every accessory fits both the Vevor and the Makita Oh btw the kit was $66
I kept the Bosch and gave away the Vevor on the show, but it was a coin toss which one to keep. Hope the Vevor works out. The low price says ...good enough for my needs 🤠
Can’t have a side by side router comparison without routing anything. With no more information than that, I’d go with the Bosch just because you know it isn’t skipping town overnight. It sounds like both have some good sales on now though.
I just recently brought the Vevor router, i brought the kit with the 3 different base setups for $100 AUD. I havnt routed anything with it yet, i purchased it to put into a router table im going to build, but so far im more than happy with it. My usual router up until now has been a Makita 1000w plunge router, it was the cheapest "decent" router i could get at the time (without buying the actual cheapest) and i think i payed $230 AUD for it. The Vevor seems to be a clone of the Makita cordless trim router (only corded), even the base plate on the plunge base is exactly the same as the one on my Makita. I have had no complaints with my Makita router, but the Vevor had me considering putting my Makita in the table instead. The 2 reasons im not, is that the Vevor has a switch on it which makes using it in a table easier, the Makita has a trigger switch on the knob/handle. And the Vevor has a reasonably decent looking dust extraction shroud that will allow me to attach the vacuum right underneath the actual bit and not have to make a cabinet around the router to be able to collect the dust (how effective it is, i wont know till ive built it all). So, apart from a catastrophic failure of some sort, i think the Vevor will be one of my best tool buys, and i would buy another one if i had to replace my Makita.
I was thinking about trying the Vevor on my CNC, but I'd have to build an adapter with my 3d printer first. For me, it's just low price and nice features means it can sit on the shelf. Would like to hear how things do for your Vevor over time or use.
Arrr ...it's 3.20am here another big day here for me at work, building concrete swimming pools everyone wants their pools finished for before Chistmas ...@@SirTools
I purchased a Bosch jig saw in 2005 for $105.00, and it had the most Bullsh*t blade change system that I have ever seen. If a tool says Bosch on it, It will not be purchased from me. Lots of other good power tools out there.
