Excellent video Vlad. One of the problems when buying a new vacuum you never know how well it's going actually to perform. Worded reviews are ok, but demonstration videos are very helpful. This video convinced me to buy the Shark. Thank you!

Great video Vlad. Thank you. I am curious to see how the Apex does with deeper cleaner. Everything that it picked up was pretty much on the surface. From what I have been told it is the deep down dirt that wears out the carpet. I have the duo clean speed which I like for my little place. The material on the grip part of the handle is starting to come apart as you pointed out in another video. I have only had it for 7 months and I do not use it that much. I also noticed that the plastic in the center part of the dust bin becomes cloudy very quickly. You have a concern about the metal screen rusting. I have washed out my dust bin all this time and had not problem with the screen rusting. Of course, I do my best to dry everything. Happy holidays to you and your family.

OMG if I buy this I am never bending down ever to pick up something I dropped. I will let the vacuum pick it up for me. Even my dirty laundry.

Ha! A few short tests don't make this a good vacuum. My wife bought this a few months ago and I vacuumed up a lot of stuff (We have 3 kids and 2 dogs) While it did the job for a few weeks, the blockages at the inlet port of the brush compartment got clogged very easily. Breaking the vacuum down to remove the huge blockages was a pain in the ass. I ended up trading it for a Cinetic Big Ball Animal +Allergy Dyson and it has not clogged. We've always had Dysons, but we decided to try a couple Sharks. Will never buy another Shark. The only thing I liked about the Apex was the roller brush to sweep debris in. Try vacuuming debris along a wall from the side using an Apex. Wont work. Dyson will suck it in. With the Apex, you have to use the front brush against the wall, which is ok, but not as good.

We just bought the duoclean version with the new zero maintenance main brush roll. The older version (this one's) head has side underside brushes that stop suction from escaping on the sides. The current top of the line only has a backstop brush, allowing stuff to be sucked in from the sides MUCH better. The front brushroll against my wall is just enough to get all of the dust off hardwood floors even in the crack. This is by far the best home vacuum cleaner I have ever used in my life, and I don't get any flare up symptoms of allergy to dust, which I've never experienced before, either. Very happy with it vs. old, dependable Hoover Windtunnel U5750. Hopefully it lasts as long. They are providing a "limited lifetime warranty", which covers the motor and maybe? premature failure of parts. Don't believe the warranty for a second, but I love the product. Cleanest my floors have ever been!

Jeez - I wonder what’s next? Vacuum up a farm animal? Most of the stuff like leaves and grass, I just pick up with my hands. I count the bending and reaching / grabbing as exercise. I do long for the day when someone proclaims “Holy Jeez! I just vacuumed up a cow with my Shark!”
