ज़िद है तो सबकुछ मुमकिन है। कुछ इसी तरह शुरुआत हुई Mamaearth की। नवजात बच्चों के लिए natural, chemical और toxin free skincare products बनाने वाली भारत की पहली company की। हमारी आज की speaker Ghazal Alagh जी ने जब इस बात पर ध्यान दिया की कोई भी product उनके बच्चे को suit नहीं कर रहा था। केवल अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बाजार में उपलब्ध, भारत के बाहर बने product ही बिना किसी side effect के इस्तेमाल करने पड़ रहे थे। उस समय Ghazal जी ने ज़िम्मेदारी ली भारत के हर बच्चे के लिए और Mamaearth की शुरुआत की। कई तरह की चुनौतियों का सामना किया, ingredients को भारत के बाहर से मंगवाना पड़ा, लगभग 700 महिलाओं और परिवारों से संपर्क करा, परिवार और समाज के इस पहल के लिए अनिच्छा के बावजूद अपनी ज़िद के बल पर शुरुआत कर के एक ऐसी company की शुरुआत की जो भारत में ऐसे products बनाने लगी जो बहुत ज़रूरी थे और भारत में अनुपलब्ध भी। Entrepreneur Ghazal Alagh की Mamaearth शुरू करने की ज़िद, जुनून, धैर्य, और Josh की कहानी.....

If there is one virtue that can make anything possible is persistence. That is how Mamaearth started, India’s first and only company that makes natural, chemical, and toxin-free products for babies. When our today’s speaker Ghagal Alakh noticed that none of the Indian-made products is suitable for her child, and the only products she can use are available in the International market only. Which can not be bought in India and she had to be dependent on someone coming from offshores. That made her take the responsibility for every Indian toddler and she started Mamaearth. She faced many hardships and challenges, imported ingredients, took advice and suggestions from almost 700 mothers and families, faced the reluctance of her family and society; and yet her persistence made it all work out. The result was Mamaearth. A company that started to make products in India for Indian babies, products that were not available here and the need for them were utmost.
