My misses loves this hoover, i can see right through this crap having attempted the replace the wire before. Shark really dont want people going inside and instead buy large replacement chunks of the vacuum, fucking security bullshit torx shyte
Their annoying to repair. Some parts are cheap as chips and fairly easy to fit once you've done 10/20 of them, but other issues just scrap the machine. I've got a fairly new lift away in my shed with a dead brushroll. I tried a pcb but the owner didn't want to start playing parts bingo and it was black Friday so off it got wrote! I'm in 2 minds wether to bother having a go myself or just break it for spares. If you've got an airline, giving it a good once over once a month with a filter wash will keep it running. It'll keep it running so long you'll fall foul of it wearing the plastic housing away everywhere or some part reaching its designed shelf life and going byebye! Wand wobbly yet? 😬
I will admit that it is not as good as my mom's Electrolux that lasted 40 years and is still going strong after some amount of repair. The Shark is lightweight and is versatile with its attachments. Mine is about 9 years old, which is a lot better than most plastic innard vacuums. My biggest gripe is that it has too many twists and turns to pull the dirt into the bin, causing it to clog too easily.
