I tried one of these recently, the cheek pads were a bit too tight for me but, I will say, this helmet felt very quality. The look is sharp, the interior is nice and form fitting and that visor and sun visor are the best i've ever used.
Great question! Snell will not approve helmets with an internal sun visor. ECE on the other hand is a more interesting question. Helmets sold in both the European Market and USA are often dual labeled these days as DOT & ECE. Often times small changes are made to ensure a DOT pass. These changes would usually not preclude the helmet from also passing ECE 22.05...so why no ECE label? We're not positive in this case, but can tell you often times it just comes down to cost. If a given brand decides that ECE labeling will not add value for the US consumer they may forgo that $5-10 per helmet cost of ECE label and registration. Thanks for watching!
The RS is a totally new helmet. Visually, the new helmet may look similar to the other Spartans, but it has a different shell and increased safety rating, once we get our hands on one we'll be sure to get a review going!
The tabs on the visors will eventually loosen after awhile and need to be re tightened every so often........so why doesn't shark provide the Allen wrench/key to get the job done???
The Allen wrench you speak of is included along side the user manual with every Spartan GT. If for some reason you didn't receive one reach out to the dealer you purchased with or Shark for replacement.
