Yeah so in other words a bad investment for the sharks. 13 years later, which equals about 2.5 times their moneys worth (their minimum loan is 7% interest a year). So that's 200k investment for 29% of the company. That money today would be with 0 risk for the sharks be worth 500k. Okay so annual revenue of 3 million usd, with his profit margin is about 1.5 million in profit, probably takes a 100k pay cut a year, so 1.4 million. Given you said he moved into other product lines like bulletproof stuff etc. that'll be RnD, and marketing so let's give him the benefit of the doubt and say 500k in profits a year. That's 150k for their business share. Maybe just barely over break even for the sharks but over a 13 year period with such risk attached it's not worth it. This was like they said a bad deal, but a great business for that entrepreneur, just not scalable.

I bought one of these bags after seeing the pitch. One of very few things I was actually sold on through this show. I was a highschooler, going to college, with a passion for photography. This bag suited the needs of the student and the "professional" so well, and I still use it today!

Unfortunately, it already exists. I literally use a Remmington tru-leaf (or whatever that camo style is called) side bag for when I don't need my backpack. It's more convincing as a "man-pack" than his and it was a dollar at a garage sale. It's in brand-new condition, because the hoarder I bought it from never used it.

Sometimes it’s all about ones presentation and how they react to certain pressure criticisms to gauge how they will do under pressure. It also helps to sell hot ticket sympathy stories into the pitch. Ex-MIL,the dying Dad’s dream was the product, hitting rock bottom by being homeless for the last xx months hoping for a 2nd chance....the only exception is Barbara...she’ll still be OUT

For a new business to hold that many different customizations could be detrimental to a business. It's like those who have pitched shoes with different colored laces, they failed because they did over a 100 colors when the market really once wants 8-10. Having to keep and manage different customization's is a nightmare.

The problem is, a lot of guys have these things called hands, and their pants have these things called pockets. If you need to carry anything more than wallet/phone/keys and a drink or a book or tablet or whatever, there are already different kinds of bags on the market for it. I need to carry a laptop? There's laptop cases. I'm a student and need to carry books? Backpack. I'm a lawyer? Briefcase. I'm a musician? My instrument won't fit in that, and I probably already have a case for it to begin with. I need to carry tools? Toolbox. It goes on and on.

Lol yep. This thing is too small to compete with a backpack in capacity and doesn’t look as good as a regular canvas or leather messenger bag.

I like the idea but for me if i put anything in it I will end up forgetting them. Even if it was a back pack I will end up leaving stuff at home because I don't usually carry bags. To me it looks like a smaller version of a back pack.
