Hi Everyone I just post a video TODAY! About fixing the broken hose of this same vacuum, 🚨 PLEASE CHECK IT OUT! 🚨 Here is the link: Vacuum Fix Shark 153-3M-8 153-3GT-8 Belt. Fits Shark Models AZ1000, AZ1002, AZ1000W, AZ1002BRN, AZ1002C, AX950, AX951, AX952, ZU782, ... a.co/d/ejSxhs4
Hi there great video. I have a similar shark vacuum. I have it all apart. My belts are intact but the brushes are not spinning. Im down to the main board. Where is the thermal fuse on these. Thank you.
Yeah the main reason is the hair get stuck in the roll if is not clean periodically plus if is force with a rug or something get stuck in it, is almost guarantee that it will go out.
THANK YOU!!!! I couldn't find the hidden screws a couple years ago! I gave up on fixing it and have only used the hose since then 😂 I can finally fix the large roller because of this video!!
Thanks for the video! However, you left off two CRITICAL steps in the disassembly process: 1) to get the soft roller off, you have to take out the screw sitting underneath the floor wheel - this was not pointed out and it took me awhile to figure it out; 2) to get the main roller assembly off the frame of the vacuum, you do need to remove one screw just to the right of center, then the main roller assembly lifts right off. These are two critical steps that should be added to your video, then it would be perfect!
I think that was my problem, already ordered new vacuum, since we have had it for 3 years. But , I did order new belt and will see if that fixes it. Thanks
We have replaced the belt, we found that it WAS broken, but we are still having a problem- the front "headlights" and green light are going on and off (not staying on consistently)...it seems to be sucking up things, brush rollers are not spinning correctly... something is not right....Do we need to purchase a Brush Roll Micro Switch, perhaps? Thank you!!
So when you engage it by tilting down the handle the rollers won't start spinning? sound like you need to open it again and manually activate the switch and see if works correctly
Thanks for your reply....No, the brush rollers won't spin. The motor runs. We tried cleaning/spraying female contact pins with CRC Elcectronic cleaner but that didn't help. To manually active the switch, how do we get to that part of the sweeper?? My husband is having trouble getting the bottom plate to come off (he was able to gently pry the sides off, after having removed screws, but can't figure out the bottom plate....
Thank you so much@@Rexxthespecialist ! We were able to get the bottom plate off. My husband will have a friend at work test the switch tomorrow with a multimeter to see if it's working or not...I've found a replacement switch to buy if it's NOT working...but If the switch IS good?? then, I'm not sure what the next course of action would be. I don't want to bother you, but if it's ok, I'll let you know what we find out about the switch. Thank you :) The sweeper has been good---it gets a lot of use (we have 2 giant breed dogs (Great Pyrenees) and several cats....so I am sweeping every day- sometimes twice a day. Maybe some sweepers just can't handle that. 🤷♀
@@janemartin2416 that's great idea, with the multimeter is for sure that you guys are going to be able to spot the issue. I have a question: do you have the exact model vacuum as the one in my video?
Getting the right size screwdriver, a T20 was really helpful. The screws under the upper lid which I pried off using my smallest flat head in the middle of the back ( side nearest the cannister). were smaller, T10?. There is also another screw inside that has to be removed. Facing the machine it is to the right of center behind the roller in the open. I have a UV850 and the belts cited here fit perfectly. Also I used my smallest Allen wrench to pop up the wheel that has the screw underneath. .
1 suggestion. Dont tell people to use a flat head to remove those screws . Mechanics and handy men can make it happen without damage. Most cannot and will blame you even thou you can and have.
I have a shark 771 duo the brush roller motor isn’t running and the forward lights are off, but the vacuum Motor runs good, any ideas? Is there a way to reset machine?
Sorry for that, I was or I’m pretty new to content creation and time lapse was the only logical choice back then. I look back now and I can see all the “mistakes” that I made. Thanks for the kind comment.
My reply is kind of late but if you have enough suction on the extension clean up hose, its almost as 100% that is clogged, check for the 2 little clips underneath and turn them to the open position and inspect the hose that goes to the vacuum head
@@lamebrainmcgee I did. RU-vid videos to the rescue. The little square thinking that plugs into motor had come undone. NOW. Who know how to fix an IRobot 675, that the cleaner/brush thingy stopped working.

If Costco still have them, bring that one back and swapped of a new one, this is really good performance vacuum, is just that flaw, that if get stuck with a rug or something like that it will burn the belt.
Is the Motor what is bad or the belt? Now is 13 screws to remove the top cover but one (1) is by the roller cavity hidden kind of, once you that remove the roller cap and the roller will come off and you should be able to access the belt at that point. Well those folks in shark company are constantly changing the design of those vacuums to make it harder to fix it, that is why I make a video about it and if you notice I didn't cut the video and I show how I did it myself. I don't have any affiliation with anybody and if anything I make the video for FREE, I took time out my life to try to help other and I hope is been helpful to someone.
