Robert's reason made no sense to me... If your daughter is a child, then this brand obviously isn't for her. His reason for being out is based on his perspective of a father. When logically, he should be trying to look at it from the perspective of an adult woman. Plus, this brand had the whole organic, vegan, ethically sourced marketing buzzwords going for it, which they completely overlooked.

You are correct. They are, at best, buzzwords. Organic and vegan are nothing but fads that really don’t mean anything except higher prices. About 10% of the people that follow “gluten-free” diets do not actually need to. A majority of them do so to be trendy. In fact, gluten is healthy.

I looked it up and this aired in 2015. Vegan and organic weren't in full force like they are now. These women were ahead of the trend in A lot of ways. And that's part of why the Sharks couldn't comprehend. ESPECIALLY when the truck came out. They had no vision for how that could be utilized.

Sharks did a really bad job on this one. Not only were they disrespectful, they told them reasons why they wouldn’t succeed instead of asking more Qs on customers and why there’s demand on the market. The sharks are idiots. Women love customized lipsticks. Wearing the same colour is boring and most stores have the same colours with different brand names. Especially for woc there is no proper colour. I hate wearing light pinks because my lips are too dark but I hate purple shades coz it makes me look dead. Nothing is around for woc. Especially dark skinned women. The market is growing but very slowly. There are plenty of Asian and African women who would buy lipstick at least once a month and that target audience is never even considered. Trust me, I've bought lipstick every time I go on vacation or out shopping. I have at least 50 different shades but they all suit white women.

I have never bought this but am going to now. Hearing them pitch it and I heard colors I was already sold! I was shocked Lori missed this! Like you’re a woman and you only ever use nude. Okay. From every "Shark's" standpoint, they may have believed that their comments were true and valid, but in business, the truth is in the numbers. This felt like direct hate at these ladies. $8000 in revenue in the last month is exceptionally well in a small business. These ladies, even then, had drive and even proved they were truly invested(especially financially) in their business. They had a mobile Lip Bar already being converted. And then being an all-natural and vegan product broadens the customer base. I am glad to hear that they are still doing exceptionally well. Their products are available at: Walmart, Target, CVS, and on Amazon.

Shark tank is actually a rebranding of a show called "Dragons den" which is a rebranding of a Japanese show that was the original idea. I saw an episode of dragons den that made it clear that allthough sharks they base their conclusions on previous understanding that doesn't always translate with every pitch. NONE OF THEM spoke up! Mr. Wonderful (don't know his name) actually compared these two beautiful Black Women to cockroaches!!!! I felt gut punched when I heard that sh't come out of his mouth.
