I feel in love with this version of this song while watching the series First Wives. I was so disappointed to find out Sharon had passed away. She and the Dap Kings are so under rated. I hate I had never heard of them before. Rest in Peace, Sweet Lady. You left so much wonderful music for us to enjoy.

Absolutely and the female rendition of the “hardest workin’ man in show bid’ness!” Her energy was infectious, her talent prodigious, her live performances absolutely delicious. Much loved, sadly missed, one of a kind. I’m shocked more people didn’t know her or The Daps. BUT! That left more tickets to her shows for the rest of us. This rendition is a fantastic reminder of the reality we still have a lot of work to do. We can’t give up.
