I have noticed this, a lot. But I think it stems from his other shows where he is doing virtually ALL of the talking. And remember, Bill started out his career as a standup comedian, a one-man show. That said, there's a real art to being a truly great interviewer. I especially liked Dick Cavett and Charlie Rose for this reason... knowing when to talk, and when to shut up.

Another interview where Bill turns his guest into his therapist, where Bill rants about 1) Not Liking Marriage 2) Glad He Never Got Married 3) How he hated Cornell. Bill can't take cues; at the beginning when Sharon says "School?! I started working at 15!" that was an interesting bit that I wish Bill had explored and pressed her on --instead he turns it back to be about himself.

@@joshuaturnage5243Yeah but if you didn’t notice Sharon didn’t say much of anything at all during this podcast. Lots of “yeah, yup, Mhm’s” and that was pretty much the majority of the whole thing. There needs to be a certain ebb and flow for a good conversation, one person says something the other says something back, someone asks something the other person answers it, and so on. Yes-ing the host to death isn’t a good conversation, that’s a one sided conversation. Hosts of good podcasts need to be aware of social cues, and know when and how to direct a conversation to get the most from the other person, and this just wasn’t it.

Sharon had a really good point and overall thoughts on Britney Spears. She is absolutely a victim. Her parents used her from childhood until basically a year ago to financially support themselves. And when she tried to pause her career and do her own thing and have her own family. Her managers and family terrorized her until she had a breakdown, then used that as an excuse to have the legal system strip her of her human rights and hand her over to the same people who used her to legally own and continue to use her. Bill basically dismissing her struggles while ignoring the fact she was and is genuinely talented by saying she’s a hooters waitress who should have just stayed a hooters waitress. Disappointing…He complains about the government and politicians and everything fucked up with America and especially California but overlooks what the American justice system particularly California’s legal system did to Britney via her conservatorship. He doesn’t give half a shit about Britney because he doesn’t respect her because she’s just a crazy hooters waitress. I’d love to see him dig a little deeper and learn about what happened to her and then give an informed opinion about her situation. Instead of saying basically, well she became an adult and should have just….IDK? Not been abused. Been a hooters waitress?….
@jreese2474
@jreese2474 10 месяцев назад
The Rabbit hole marked "What happened to Britney Spears" is a deep dark and confusing one. I doubt it's going to be taken seriously until after she is no longer with us. And people like Bill have always talked that way about her. I've always wondered what makes her such an easy person to dismiss.
@thisismyinferno
@thisismyinferno 10 месяцев назад
@@jreese2474 Britney has never said anything bad about anyone or pushed back against anyone that's said anything horrible about her. She's been bullied by other celebrities, media, etc throughout her career and she never said anything. The most she's said anything was when she got out of the conservatorship and then some jumped on her for that Erich was cruel as well. She's been traumatized, she's healing for many years to come, I'm sure. Healing looks different for everyone and we see a slight sliver of her life. I think people treat her how they do because they don't know what to do with people whose... likely kind. I don't think in Hollywood, they know what to do with it. Yet they've over sexualized her since she was 16 and bashed her for being good in what she's created. It's sickening
@thisismyinferno
@thisismyinferno 10 месяцев назад
@erikd814 I wish Sharon called him out for calling her that instead of just agreeing. Made me mad. Britney is a staple in music history rather he likes her music or not. She worked for it.
@erikd814
@erikd814 10 месяцев назад
@@thisismyinferno I think she was agreeing with the overall sentiment that perhaps Britney would have been better off having never been famous. Not that she should have become and remained an actual hooters waitress. Britney is so genuinely sweet and kind and little more innocent and naive initially in her career because she was 15 and most 15 year olds aren’t jaded hardened veterans in the entertainment industry when they first start out. When Sharon said “not everybody is like us, Bill” I feel like she meant that it wasn’t easy for Britney to deal with all the negativity and stress that fame puts on you. But Sharon and especially Bill have never had to deal with that level of white hot worldwide fame. Also Azaleia Banks said something on Insta live I believe that was pretty profound when speaking about Britney’s Con-ship. She essentially said that young women need somebody in their life (ideally a father figure or man who’s only interested in protecting them) when they start out in the entertainment industry to make sure other men don’t fu€k with them, use them, steal from them etc…She pointed out that Britney didn’t have that, she had her Mom and manager and when things got so bad for Britney and her Father stepped in, it wasn’t to protect her. The man who used, stole and fu€k£d with her the most was her own Father. That cuts deep, that type of betrayal is devastating and she was forced to suffer in silence. When you add the fact her Con-ship was state sanctioned slavery, supported and backed by the California court system. It’s stunningly corrupt and straight up evil.

Bill has always been critical and judgemental of others. It doesn't matter if he agrees with someone on particular issues or not he still continues to talk smack behind their back. He has no reverence or respect toward anyone except for himself. During his podcasts he does most of the talking and does not allow his guests to elaborate their opinion or stories as he consistently interrupts them. Bill attempts to be all grandeur and ego to cover up his own insecurites and poor self esteem. He appears to be a lonely man and drinks to overcome his failures and regrets. He lives through others, but lives in denial in alot of aspects of life such as having a life long partner and/or a successful marriage, and judges and downplays the aspects of marriage or having a lifelong partner to his guests. This is also seen in his opinion of children and dismissing the opinions of his guests who decided to have children. He never approached this subject with Sharon as he knew not to as Sharon adores her family. I am glad to see that he was respectful to Sharon and gave her the opportunity to speak instead of downplaying her perspectives as he knows Sharon is a strong woman wouldn't dare to try and undermining her. It was also good to see Sharon speak up for Brittany, eventhough Bill attempted to talk smack about her and suddenly backed off and agreed with Sharon about Brittany's situation and gave him little opportunity to talk smack about her, eventhough in the end he had to one up on Sharon and make negative remarks about Brittany seeming like a Hooters girl, eventhough there is nothing wrong with working at Hooters. I did find it too critical of Sharon and then Bill chimes in about Brittany not being a strong person "as like we are" but what was failed to mention about Brittany is she was a member of the Mikey Mouse Club and child predators were running the show. Also, It would not surprise me if her father was sexually abusing her since she was a young child as he seemed to be to heavily involved in her life and Brittany appears to act like a young child in alot of aspects as in to pacify others. He has always given me the creeps, and I have always thought there was something else underneath his character and his objective was to be so absorbed in her life such as his restlessness drive to maintain conservatorship of Brittany inorder to swindle millions from her career.

Marilyn Monroe was highly intelligent. She was reading Ulysses in between takes, had a very dry sense of humor, and great comedic timing. IMHO, it was the blonde sex kitten image that was manufactured and not the true Marilyn, but sex sells. So throw in her in crappy childhood, with a mother who was mentally ill, a non-existent father, and spending time in foster homes, and there’s the seeds planted for trauma that created a void needing to be filled. So enter Hollywood, the need for attention and love, and you’ve got a perfect storm for drugs, depression, and predatory men that she believed loved her.

How can we improve parenting and education and betterment of society collectively benevolently together now? I think we have to get more people that are educated faster so we need to figure out how to get more information to people that encourages a new civil rights movement as fast as possible. Right and he also was dumb enough to take the vax and say that he "did it for the team" which shows how he doesn't have much of his own identity as he has to go along to get along. He also has these holistic/naturopathic ads on his show here and has said for so many yrs how he was into holistic health and on and on yet took the jab full of heavy metals and other horrible chemicals that are much worse than the high fructose corn syrup that he railed against for at least 20 yrs. He also says in this interview w/ Sharon that he wishes he could have been in w/ more of the Jews but hello - he lives & works in Hollywood! He is so full of contradictions, it's almost unreal. He also talks himself into a valid point but then talks himself right out of it in the next sentence coming out of his mouth. He's a bigger narcissist than Trump and that is why he hates him so much b/c he can't compete w/ another narc on any level b/c narcs hate other narcs more than they hate empaths due to the competition factor.
@kaitlynkarol4600
@kaitlynkarol4600 10 месяцев назад
He has some things right but so many contradictions, they seem like they never stop coming. He also repeats the same talking points he makes on his HBO show and adds nothing new of deeper insight. This is b/c he doesn't grow - you can't grow in a bubble. So sad but I still love Bill despite it all - his humor is good although he's grown quite obtuse (prob too much pot which can chill you out way too much and dull the sharp blade of the brain) and it's made him lose a lot of ground; he lost a lot of his originality to all the THC which brings a lot of brain fog. However, the 'gangbanged by blueberries' line in his ad here is super funny and he's charming in a very childish way but he is a man-child who will not grow up and we can't just ignore that anymore. I can understand it but I can't accept it. He can't commit to a marriage and I can accept that as his choice, BUT he can't commit to even an idea or sentence so no, don't depend on him to truly commit to anything. What he really does commit to though, is so many false dichotomies b/c he is a lazy binary thinker who lectures us on how we can't hold two opposing thoughts in our head yet he can't do it either - not often. I think w/ the combo of weed, liquor, & his sex club memberships to all the culty sex clubs, & the spoiled rich lifestyle w/ his celeb status and celeb culture/echo chamber/ really did some major damage to his critical thinking. This is what happens when you live in an inflated bubble of constant dopamine hits - (esp one like this) but pretend not to. Bill never got to be an actor (his initial dream) so he acts in real life and not in a good way. No Oscars for 'best phony sell-out scenes that never make sense". But what he could win is an award for 'best hypocrite' if that was a thing. It's wild how he says the far L Marxists/ 'woke' are super dumb but ONLY points out the woke things he doesn't like that affects his comedy career. He is SELECTIVELY against Marxism which is super hypocritical. It's like saying someone is "a little pregnant"! Woke ppl won't come to his shows b/c they hate humor now but if he wasn't a comic, he'd prob still be as far L as those he disagrees with b/c he can only see a view that aligns w/ his own interests or biases. Again, this is due to his own narcissism. This is a simple story of Hollywood narcs against other H-wood narcs. Very straight-forward to me!

I’m only 20 minutes into this, but it seems clear-- she is profoundly uninteresting and not particularly bright.

Fun. Interesting how agreeable and easy-going Sharon is with Bill throughout the discussion. A trait that makes her extremely likable.

Sharon is Primitively Genuine and Refreshingly Real Time. And there's quite a substantial about of United Kingdom citizens that live in the Omaha Nebraska area. -Cheers ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨🍹✨✨✨✨

I fall off my chair laughing every time Bill compliments women with multiple face lifts, and a garden variety of other cosmetic enhancements how great they look for their age (a few weeks ago, it was Kris Jenner), now her!! 😆

Mrs O is great in person. She was a client of mine for many years and she was always great to deal with. Hugely funny, really blunt but genuine. She wasn't at all stary just really down to earth. I just wish she had laid of the plastic surgery. I always thought she looked great but you need to know not to go to far with it.
