What’s worse is that thanks to people like her, there is a shortage of it at the moment and Diabetics who need it aren’t being prescribed it in the UK because of the shortage. So because of people like her and her vanity, people who really need to lose weight for their health can’t get it on the NHS. It’s a National disgrace and if our government had any clout whatsoever they would have ring fenced it for people with clinical need only like they did in Australia.

Older women also need to be VERY CAREFUL losing so much weight. With osteopenia and sarcopenia affecting older adults, and especially older women, it is not such a great idea to become so skinny. If she ever goes to hospital, she might be classed as "frail" and then not looked after properly (sorry, joke!). The sad truth is that she took Ozempic because she did not think she looked good enough before. No, not everyone wants to be skinny. She now looks like my sister who has had anorexia/bulimia for decades and has many health issues because of it. Not something to be copied. I would prefer for people to eat healthily, exercise, sleep well, meditate, enjoy spending time with your friends and prioritise health over weight on the scale.

You’re going over the top there with the anorexia, she’s not that skinny. This wouldn’t be talked about if she was fairly slim to begin with but she was usually chubby.

@@jgooner894 she admitted in an interview on Loose Women that she is too skinny and wants to put on at least 10lbs. She does look frail, she said she is too thin herself. I still think she's lovely. I understand wanting to be skinny.

you are actually right, a doctor told my grandmother that it's better to have a little weight "in reserve" vs being too frail when aging, it helps provide protection against nutritional deficiencies and other illnesses. The body isn't able to fight illness if there's nothing in reserve,

When the camera panned to her, I was shocked. She doesn’t look well. I’ve had cancer twice in the last few years. When I lost weight, my husband said I just didn’t look like myself because of my appearance. We hope she’s alright.

When she is filmed out of the TV studio sitting beside her very sick husband, and not wearing makeup or a freshly done studio hair do, her hair is very thick The original comment was about a piece of hair sticking out from her fringe.

Ozempic caused a friend of mine to become very sick. My friend was taking it for type 2 diabetes and developed gastroparesis that has taken two years of her life away from her. My friend has just been able to go back to work part time. She still has times where she has to be in iv to be hydrated from vomiting. It is a dangerous drug and has killed a woman in Australia who took it to lose weight.

my 60ish neighbor was around size 16, one day looking out back i saw what looked like a small skinny child of around 13, low and behold it was her. I asked what happened and she said she was diabetic and on ozempic, she said she was at 75 pounds and still going down. She was also taken by ambulance to the hospital for passing out. I didn't know anything about ozempic last summer, my other neighbor said they think shes got cancer and lying about the weight lose, well her son took over the house and i haven't seen her around there since moving out. why would she still be on that drug causing her to fade away

To try to purposely be skinny , it’s not attractive. I’ve been happy and fit as a size 4 (US), and happy and fit as a size 2,, but I’ve not been skinny. I still have meat on my bones. These days, people are going for the ill skinny look…

Wow I was really shocked when I saw her. It’s tricky… it’s really not unusual for older women to want to lose weight. My nan went though a serious diet phase. You can’t control people perceiving you as older any more, can’t control your health or your husbands health… your weight is one of the only things you can control. I think being THAT skinny is shocking but I guess it all depends on how healthy & confident she feels

She clearly is suffering from anorexia at this point. The teens she was referring to are her, now (those with any history of weight, food and body issues, like Sharon, are at the highest risk of these drugs blowing those issues out). Ozzy, obviously, is already trying to clue her in. I think, at this point in her life, if she keeps going in a state of emaciation, it will not end well.

This is especially because Sharon Osbourne herself implies that one of the obvious reasons fueling probably both the attention on her dramatic body transformation and what she utilized to get there (Ozempic) partially stems from western societal norms with being skinny.

She was quite thin ever since her stomach band surgery in 1999. I don't believe that after years of substance abuse, cancer etc. it is possible to stay healthy while not eating for days in a row on ozempic when you're 71

What people don't understand with this medication yes it's for diabetes but for people who are obese and are already trying their best to lose weight with diet and working out but it's not enough this medication helps suppress hunger. For me I gained weight because I need to be on steroids for the rest of my life after being diagnosed with a serious rare autoimmune disease. Ozempic is helping me to lose that weight that i gained since starting the steroids, while I'm on a diet and working out as well. I'm taking it under the supervision of a doctor the specialises on food disorders. And I'm only taking it till I lose a certain amount of weight after that I have to continue to lose it on my own. I'm being very responsible about it. Ozempic is helping me Save my life. Not everyone gains weight because they don't care and start eating really badly. And I'm not just using Ozempic, I'm trying my best with other things

If someone is OCD about their weight, and you take the weight problem away, then it leaves a void there. What they fill that void with is a roll of the dice... alcohol, promiscuity, etc., ..... something will fill that void.

Everyone wants to be skinny because of fashion mags, fashion ads, tv shows, the media talking about celebrity weight gain, and celebrating skinny beautiful actresses and models, and social media influencers on TikTok and Instagram. But it starts with the fashion, tv, and movie industry, and media. Influencers are just following along.
