I know you are wondering, why a high protein high fat butter pecan ice cream and the reason is because post-cancer for 3 years i haven't been able to gain weight eating 3000 - 5000 calories a day (and I generally only burn around 3,000). Sometimes I use raw honey instead of granulated sugar, sometimes I do both. I can eat 2-3 of these a day on top of 2000 - 2500 other calories from normal foods. But even if you aren't a fitness junkie, this is a super creamy, buttery, vanilla flavored ice cream that is way better nutritionally than store bought ice cream that's all carbs and no fats and very little proteins. It tastes great with multiple toppings. I have had it with pecans, pecans and caramel, walnuts, black walnuts, hersheys chocolate syrup, elderberry syrup, peach jam, apple butter, spiced rhubarb jam, strawberry rhubarb jam, dandelion jelly, redbud jelly and no matter what I add to it, it just makes an already great tasting ice cream even better! Then if you get a ninja creami, it comes with 1 pint cup but you will want more if you plan to make ice cream in bulk or maybe you will want each family member to have their own with color coded lids or maybe you plan to make multiple flavors of ice cream and the lid colors will help to distinguish them. I first bought a 4 pack of this brand: amzn.to/4bSQ9EV and found out even having 5 cups wasn't enough, so then I ordered another brand because it was cheaper than the first (but check both links because they prices fluctuate back and forth): amzn.to/3yUZmOz The quality between these two brands are excellent and maybe even slightly better than the one that comes with the ninja creami....so if I had to purchase again, I wouldn't have any trouble getting whichever one of these two was cheapest that day. Although I can't personally recommend any other off-brands, I am sure they are all of acceptable quality so if you are looking to save a few bucks, you should always price shop them and read reviews before purchasing.
