A great 12-mile circular walk around the Iron Age fort of Sharpenhoe Clappers and Sundon Hills AONB in the North Chilterns with ‪@ramblingracheltrailtales‬.
There are a couple of free car parks at the base of Sharpenhoe Clappers and the Sundon Hills but beware that they can be less than savoury in the evenings!
We followed our walk with a cheeky little wild camp nearby and this time we actually got a sunset and a dry morning! Perfect!

Thanks Jeremy, yes it’s so nice being able to pack more lightweight. Camping is fun all year round but there’s a lot to be said for summer 👍

I agree packing up a wet tent is fun pitching it the next night and hopeing for enough time to dry it before night fall is better

Yes it’s not so bad when only camping for one night, Its when it’s needed for the next night it’s a bit trickier!

Looked great !!! What did you have to eat in the pub??? .. I am loving this weather.. I even packed away a dry tent the other day ( ok tiny bit damp under the ground sheet) ... Take care out there.
