Great job getting a fine edge even better. My brother used to sharpen his Bear Razorheads so well, I was afraid to touch them. We used to joke that when he removed an arrow from his quiver everything would stop moving for the fear of being cut. Excellent video once again - thank you
Thanks for this video! I bought Crimson Talon Cleavers for this hunting season but was just about to sell them because I was intimidated about sharpening them. This makes it look doable. I ordered the C guide kit right away.
@@baitball4665 It went great! I used the highest setting on the guide and went through all the grits and finished with paper and the buffing compound and they're plenty sharp for me!
Can you do a video on how you freshen up the tanto tips on a single bevel? That would be greatly appreciated! I just ordered these heads and I have kudu 125’s as well so I’m glad I can use the C guide for both. I bought it a couple months ago from you.
unless it needs to be repaired the tanto edge doesnt need to be razor sharp. i know what you mean though. ive messed up the corners on so many. its the hardest part for sure.
I have several of these same heads. I've used two for tuning my bow, shooting them into a broadhead target. They are still fairly sharp but I should get your tool there and put an edge back on them. I have a two week hunt starting next week in Africa and will be using these heads. They are crazy sharp out of the box. My Cutthroats are great, but getting that initial edge is a pain. I'm concerned with these heads that I won't have the same success putting an edge back on them since they are curved?
That Bradhead should be...you do t need 2 inch cutting verses a well placed wick sharp head that is what a head should do.....edge sharpness is what does the business
