I've loved the Zebra Mildliners for a long time, but are they about to be overthrown by a new contender? Today I'm looking at the Sharpie S Note Creative Markers, comparing them to the mildliners, and letting you know if they will be taking a place on my desk for the future!

Funny! I hate that dotted journal for that reason, but then I picked up a hobonichi because I wanted a page per day and to stop procrastinating by drawing weekly spreads out by hand

Before this video, I wanted the Mildliners but they're so expensive and the Sharpies, while affordable, just looked like non permanent marker versions of the regular Sharpies... Seeing them side by side, I need the Sharpie set. You just saved me a bunch of money and disappointment! Thank you for taking the time to do this!!

Thank you for the comparison. I want ALL THE PENS but I got mildliners for Christmas so I really can't justify these. (Or maybe I should start dropping hints for my birthday...)

that was important to me - like how many freaking highlighters does one really need? But I know there is a lot of people who couldn't justify the price of the mildliners so these might be a good option!

I got them yesterday from Target. The 12pack was on clearance was $2.69. That was a have to buy price.

I found that if you buy the Mildliners (and the brush pens) as the individual sets of 5, they're waaaaay cheaper than buying them in larger sets (hope that makes sense).

I waaaaant the plum and orchid colors, omg. I love my mildliners tho and have all the colors so it's hard to justify these, even tho they are cheaper. But I'd also "need" another pouch for them like the one I got for my mildliners...so snowball effect also stopping me. lmao

I’ve never understood the dark grey mildliner. It’s just too dark and i rarely ever use it in my planner. I hope Michaels will sell these individually because I love the Olive and sea green sharpies. Plum and orchid look a bit too dark to be used to highlight but they are gorgeous too. And I’ve missed your pen reviews!!! This made me happy!

I've got my fingers crossed these will eventually be available individually so I can fill in the gaps where the mildliners don't overlap. Looking forward to your thoughts on the zebra click art ones, i've got two, they are nice to write with and I love the ink (not too juicy, not too dry, not really streaky etc) but the tips feel so soft like they won't last long for a heavy hand (mine is very heavy!) Lovely to see another pen review from you, they always feel so satisfying :D xoxo

They don't sell them individually in your country online? Because in the Philippines they sold around 1.2-1.6 dollars individually. But they're out of stock most of the time because a lot of people prefer them instead of the ones in a pack of 5

@@alysterthepotato9477 When I made this comment I hadn't found any, but I have now. Unfortunately in Australia they are about twice the price as the US ones, that's including postage! We are often quite late with getting new stationery releases here, and I'm impatient so I will often order from overseas, haha!

I just saw that Passion Planner came out with "Passion Markers" and they look similar to the Mildliners as well, but they have a fine liner as the smaller tip!

Holey moley, this video is so helpful!! I bet many people feel like me where they're not used to associating Sharpie brand with highlighting so just overlooked this product. I love my Mildliners but will definitely get these Sharpies too to fill in the gaps!!!

i think it's the lighting, the lavender in the brights is a LOT more purple than the indigo

How have the Sharpie S-Note’s held up? Has the tip worn down? Thinking about getting the Sharpies since they’re cheaper but unsure if they’ll dry out sooner or the tip will be bent

I got the smaller pack of the sharpie markers and just didn’t like them 😭 also one of mine was completely missing the tip so maybe I was grouchy about that. They would never replace my mildliners but I agree, they are a nice compliment.

Cindy, thanks for the super comprehensive and complete review. I really appreciate that you go straight to the point and fast forward the swatches. I watched a lady swatching some other pens the other day and I was about to poke my eyes out of desperation, she beat around the bush so much and she took AGES to swatch. I tried looking these pens up on Amazon Spain but they don't seem to have them at all so I'm guessing these pens are relatively new to the pen/planner community? I will have to wait to get them, because I really loved the colors :-)

Omg yes a highlighter thunderdome would be amazing. But only when you’re feeling good, no pressure. If I could buy these individually, I’d consider getting the extra colours that I don’t have with the mildliners. When you do the highlighter thunderdome, is there any way you can test them on novel pages somehow? It’s what I use mine for the most and would be so helpful.

Micheals is selling the mild liners now. If you really want to try them or have a specific color scheme, wait for a sale buy them alone with a 40% off coupon. They sell them by color scheme so buy one pack at a time to see if you like them. 😬

I don’t care about cheap plastic. I’m looking for any markers or pens that will last more than a week, that don’t “scratch”, the outside of the pen/marker to be medium feel in the hand like not skinny and not thick

They are more of a crayons marker feel than a mildliner feel. And at that, the crayons markers usually don’t bleed or heavily shadow for me so there Sharpies are a meh and probably a no for me. You can buy a 64 pack crayons marker set for like $10 during back to school.

Ooh, can you compare with the crayola supertips with the mild liners? Many other people have suggested I go wit crayola super tips instead of mild liners. I assume they bleed a bit more though

I used the supertips for a year before I got mildliners and the supertips never had any bleed through. I use both together now because I need all the colours!

Does anyone else have an issue with mildliners drying out far more quickly than other highlighters? I can't tell if I'm getting old batches or they just have less ink...

When I bought some new colors from a local art store (last year) they dried up really quickly, but when I bought the original colors from Amazon they have lasted for quite some time. However the local art store gave me my money back more than a month later! I use at least one of them everyday and I haven't had a single one dry up in 2+ years. I think it is all based on how long it sits on a shelf/in a wearhouse and what conditions they are kept in. A lady who I know in AZ left her backpack in the car a lot and they dried up quickly but as soon as she stopped doing that they lasted way longer.
