WELL DONE BoatTEST for publicising Sharrow... the single most important addition to the motorboating world since the move from coal to diesel.

Love these props, this is a real world test and good explanation-- this is the right way to introduce new technology. Hopefully they introduce models for smaller HP engines.

Your research and development in testing boats and boat technologies is a fantastic thing for the development of human resources. For example, most international trade is done by cargo ship. This new technology might be able to make cargo transport more efficient, as the fuel costs for one ocean crossing of a cargo ship are massive. For example why cargo ships couldn't dock in Florida when they where welcomed to do so by the Florida government, because they where not allowed to dock in the LA port...questionably over COVID-19.

I would love to own a pair of these but the initial cost I still pretty high, it’s still a huge change in propeller design and will likely become more popular or become the standard once the scale of production increases and the cost goes down.

just imagine how much gas people have lost over the decades without these props

For that price I bet it’s something thieves would be after so I would not feel comfortable having that at a marina.

When they will drop a price to a reasonable price please update the video! So I can order a couple of them

Someday maybe I can find one of these for a 40hp outboard for a reasonable price.

When will they be tested on the Mercury 600?

Being a fisherman who mainly fish small ponds and lakes,I wonder how a Sharrow prop would do on a trolling motor?

I'm wondering if Sharrow is working on some props for various contra-rotating engines like the new Mercury 600 or the Yamaha 425. For that matter, if it would even be worthwhile on those outboards.

Where is the cast one for $2k on their website. All talk and they took it off the site, why?

Curious on how it does on a 24 ft pontoon boat with a 115 merc

I know the ROI isn't there for a recreational fisher who is out maybe 15 to 20 times a year, but the added range makes one contemplate financial loss in exchange for passion. 😉

Why doesn't anyone play a sound clip of this prop vs a standard prop

Sad to see you shut off comments on the Silent Yacht video, especially given that you included misinformation/disinformation in that video and didn't actually test the boat. This undermines your credibility. Simply do the math of the kwh it takes to move a silent 60 at 8 knots for 24 hours, and then add up average production of the solar panels and you will see that the boat will be running on generator after the first day. Saying it is the "first production solar boat to cross and ocean" leads people to think it crossed the ocean under solar power--- which is dishonest!

$5000 per prop and you can't fix it

Interview a Merc Prop guy about this. There's a reason Merc or Volva Penta or any of the other big players haven't invested in this.
