I love him in uniform or out with a mustache or without. Superb actor and a very nice guy by all accounts.

Whether by luck or judgement, the Morse franchise has been extremely lucky to have had such talented and charismatic (in their own very individual ways) men as John Thaw, Kevin Whately and Shaun Evans as the lead actors. The casting is spot on, but the chemistry is perfect.

I was never going to watch this show at the start, then one day there was nothing on TV so I watched it.. I was immediately hooked! I can't wait for season 7! The seasons are too short!

Sean is a fabulous actor 😍 he is meticulous in his detail to the character of Morse. In addition to this ( swoon 😁) he is absolutely gorgeous and also very intelligent and articulate- whats not to love right!!

A real delight , breathtaking scenery coupled with both great actors and very entertaining writing ,my favourite crime drama .

I love that they have to solve without electronics. It makes it so much more interesting for me in that they is more character development.

This series of Endeavour was a masterpiece of TV Drama ❤️ This interview was interesting to hear Shaun speaking in his natural accent, very surprising .

Season 6 was fabulous! Love it here in the US. Shaun is excellent.

Look forward each Sunday to view Endeavour,having to wait for season 7. In withdrawals waiting for this series to return, enjoy watching The intelligence of Morse at work and depended on to solve what's at hand.. I'm a fan of the old Morse, so having a young Morse is awesome to see how the young grows into a man. Great series.

Brilliant actor

Always been a fan of Morse so I was a little apprehensive about Endeavour and how it would unfold. Turned out brilliantly ❣Fabulous Cast, Fabulous story line etc 💖 Am totally hooked & hoping there will be many more seasons exploring the characters as life's events unfold❣ 🙂❣

I do love intelligent who dunnits and this ticks all the boxes. We just need more of it....please

Endeavour is one of the best period crime dramas on British TV! I'm from across the pond and have watched all the US crime shows, and many of the Brit crime shows and it's my favorite genre. I found it on Netflix originally, and just subscribed to Masterpiece and I'm starting over. Amazing how much I missed the first time...but only through 3 seasons. Shaun Evans was made for this part and adds so much intelligence and class to the show even as a humble and not landed gentleman. The entire cast is great as they weave through the '60s. I love his Irish accent IRL and want to hear more of it, although he does a terrific job with a generic educated English accent. I fell right in line with his character and didn't care for Fancy at first, but he has grown on me....and not I'm hearing him say Fancy dies, so I'm devastated. Crazy how good acting draws you in. I'm so looking forward to carrying on to catch up. I was very young in the '60s but I remember a lot of it.....hanging over into the '70s, etc. Did the author Dexter have a brand of naming unusual surnames? They are certainly unforgettable.....Thursday, Strange, Fancy, Trewlove etc....not to mention "Endeavor" Morse being the most intriguing. I had no idea that the show "Lewis" was also written by Dexter (I hope I have that correct).....but I enjoy that one as well...more contemporary in modern-day settings.

I'm so looking forward to watching season 6, again. Catch up on what I had missed the first time around; even thou I'm British, their Brits's accent is still very strong! It's like you have to train your ears and really listen, lol.

Shaun Evans is a brilliant actor He would be marvellous in any Thomas Hardy film or tv video He would make a perfect Angel Clare in Tess of the D'Urbervilles.

I experienced flashbacks watching Season /Series 6. 40 years ago, I had a an Oxford-educated college professor who looked much like mustached Morse…but was a foot or so shorter. 😁

The thing about will they or won’t they, with Morse and Joan, their feelings run way too deep for a casual affair, but they lost their moment, so now it’s about living with regret for never having tried. And that is more powerful in shaping their characters going forward. Perhaps far into the future the timing will come round again.

Such is the calibre of this mans acting, that I never knew he was Liverpudlian until after I watched him being interviewed after the end of Endeavours story. And half my family are from Liverpool. The whole series was a quality production with such a moving ending.

His own accent takes me back to the Beatles and Liverpool.

mY hugest administration for the performances and story a they it’s done! So love everyone of the movies!

Where have these two men been hiding. I love Endeavour, but I am really impressed with Morse nd his superior.. Th dynamic between them is great. Wrap 'em up I'll' Ave em.

I swear they're watching us..I was watching Endeavour on Amazon and next thing I know, an interview with Joan's actress pops up? They're watching....but with this I don't mind. Endeavour's great!

Oh, one complaint, Mr. Evans...the Seasons are too short. Endeavor fans need more than 4 or 5 shows. We already are anxious for Season 7. There best be a Season 8. Else there be another Revolution!

PLEASE, at least one time, let Morse and Joan admit their love for each other, (even if they never “do it”)before the eventual end of the series! It’s obvious how they feel about each other, and it’s painful to watch series after series!

I watched the Inspector Morse series when I was a young man and it shaped my thinking. Even though my twin sons are called Robert and Lewis,I have never watched the last episode of that series. I have never watched the Lewis series or the Endevour series. It doesn't seem the right thing to do somehow.

I have watched one episode from each series: pre-, peri- and post-Morse. The striking feature of pre-Morse is that, unlike the others, its view of Oxford belongs to the realm of lurid fantasy. Weaponized criminal gangs ? I was in Oxford, working at the university and living in the town. from 1965 to 1973.

I love listening to Shaun’s soft scouse accent. Wish he did more acting with his normal accent. He looks like he doing more behind the camera - shame.

Noticed one thing about the whole series. HE NEVER *VERBALLY* EXPLAINS TO ANY CHARACTER WHY HE DID THE MUSTACHE. Not in words. He doesn't tell them it was done to remind him he hadn't solved the George Fancy case. Not in the show. So. That leaves me one thing, to think about the poster from series six. Look at the center, where Morse is on the left and Joan is touching his face. I bet she asked him why he had the mustache and he told her exactly why he did it. And then maybe things went haywire. Liked they kissed... or something. Because the scene where she touches him wound up being cut out, and replaced by a short one near the beginning of episode 1. She yells at Morse that she can't take this, because she has to go to night class. Now, what could she be talking about? Did they start to get into a relationship, and Mr. Lewis had it cut because it was too soon in the series? He got it renewed up to series eight and decided to take the plot wandering the heck off into the brambles again? Just another wonderful non-resolution from the people who love to confuse you. I haven't seen this many wilful disappointments of the audience since "Dallas," for pete's sake, and I didn't even like that show. Stop breaking my heart.

Oddly l find myself less enamoured of Morse hearing Sean's accent. When l see him in character l really enjoy it.

I’ve watched all of the Endeavor and the Morse series’s. I don’t see how Endeavor character becomes the Morse character?

I always expect him to sound so posh, relatively...hearing his real accent takes me a moment to get used to, plus the cadence.

I used to love bouncing Morse off Kavanaugh QC. John Thaw is fantastic. But if he was here, he would probably slap Shaun on the back and smile. I just love every scene with John Thaw's daughter. Even his wife was in an episode. It's just so lovely. Stay tuned for final episode.

I was disappointed in Season 6. Too short, too fast, and too hastily wrapped up. I understand if Shaun Evans and Roger Allam are in demand and therefore their time is limited - I'm glad for them as they certainly deserve it. They also hardly even nodded to the relationship between Morse and Joan. I'm hoping Season 4 wasn't the high water mark for them. Still can't wait for season 7.
