To the people bitching about how Shaun plays with being stiff or no emotions have obviously never seen him live. He’s all over it. He seriously gives it his all and it shows.
When I first heard this song in Malaysia, I had no idea or a clue as to who was Breaking Benjamin was. Little did I know that I was gonna be absorbed into this pure awesomeness.
Chad was a legend, you can really tell the difference live too. This guy is definitely not on his level however I'm really happy that he's helping BB stay alive today and I love they new material.
Both are world class drummers and I love both of their styles. But they do have quite different playing styles, eventhough shaun is good at mimicking Chad when needed.
@@BorderflyTV I agree. They're both equally good imo. But I definitely prefer Shaun's writing style. Chad seemed to fall off on "Dear Agony". Several of the songs just lacked inspiration or power and came off as very "meh" and subdued. Shaun's writing is definitely more powerful and in your face.
Honesto Aquino yea shaun isn't as fluent as Chad was. I think Chad was better. Shaun still a decent drummer tho. Wish I could replace him honestly I know every bb song on the drums by heart
I do agree about Chad. He's an amazing drummer and so groovy and fluid. Shaun isnt a bad drummer persay. He just isn't as entertaining and not as smooth with his motions.
What? I love that snare sound, no annoying overtones, short and focused. Just like a rock snare should sound in my opinion. But thats all it is, opinions(Unless it actually would have sounded garbage). No need to be a dick about it...
skiblink this was a very informal drum workshop on a cruise ship. There were only a few of us here. Not a big public audience & it was very early in the morning. I'm sure he had a late night the previous evening. He wasn't trying to entertain us, only teach us.
