Cats didn't play the conditions well at all. It's about taking ground and applying pressure but what they tended to do was kick it high to their talls instead of into space or along the ground. Cats are usually pretty good in the wet but losing Atkins was big and Parfitt totally not sighted ( likely be the last time he plays in Cats colors as he has been given many opportunities but will never be an A grader, need to try some of the others on the inside to see what they have)
That was a dreadful performance, no dressing it up. Just couldn’t get any rhythm going at all or a proper grip of the game. To be quite honest we didn’t look interested in large parts which is unacceptable. The Dogs clearly wanted it more and had far more energy, they should have won by a much greater margin too. We coughed up possession way too much (to English and Khamis in particular), had a few opportunities in the third quarter that could’ve given us a kick start but no doubt the Dogs were the better side by far. I know the conditions were tough but they were the same for both teams. Frustrating and there is a bit of worry in my mind at how the players can turn in a performance like that when we’re fighting for finals. Big reaction needed, we know the players are capable of delivering so let’s do it! Ps big shout out to the umpires who gave some of the softest frees going, didn’t give clear cut frees and didn’t pay clear marks! For the UMPteenth time this season they had an absolute stinker much like the Cats!
@@MadCatter85 it was a tough watch mate, the only thing I’m glad about is that I didn’t have to sit through it in that weather😂 Don’t mean to sound all doom and gloom, still all to play for and the players are capable of putting on big performances but just didn’t expect such a tepid one tonight!

It's not his game to be an inside player. It's like asking Lionel Messi to be a goalkeeper and expect it to benefit the team. Miers has been one of the best and most consistent this year, probably top 3 in best and fairest.
