It's almost shavuot, it the eleventh day if the omer. But I'm still really exited, and this song is just amazing. I remember my teacher put it on for us in class last year!
Excellent job! It is both interesting and sad to see that some people have a negative reaction to this video. This video is just demonstrating a cute way to learn about minhagim of staying up on Shavous and other traditions. Of all of the Shalosh Regalim, Shavous is the only one without any particular halachic requirements. I hope to make a video about this and the other customs you mentioned on my channel. Keep up the great work!!!
Find one quickly, only a week to go before Shavuot. I bet if you locate a Chabad you will be able to stay up all night studying Torah like you should....
This is great fun! The only thing I don't get is why it has become a universal custom to stay up all night spilling coffee over the bais medrash floor, and then davening in a state of semi-conciousness at nezt before going to sleep for the rest of the day. If would be fine if it was an option for those who get a spiritual rise out of it - but why has it become obligitory for us all?
@jonco59 agreed = the CUSTOM is to stay up AND LEARN. If one can't learn or feels that staying up will disrupt his simchas yom tov, etc, there is nothing wrong with going to sleep. There is something askew with a man holding a piece of cheesecake exhorting me to "stay up all night". It IS funny and well done, though.
I love this and I'm Muslim :-) Well, I'm American and converted to Islam many years ago. I have Jewish friends and I even have a word in Hebrew tattooed on my arm. :-D
